Certainly not a plethora, but a handful that serve me well. And one of them is the ability to track down a bargain. Over the years I have become something of a go-to person amongst my friends and relatives. When they’re looking to buy a product or service, they often call me first to see if I know of any deals or special offers. If they can’t find an item, they ask me if I can. Even if something is sold out in 99% of the stores, I can usually track down that 1% that have it.

Do I have secrets? Am I super-lucky? Not really. I have just amassed a set of tools, almost all of them online, that help me find the deals quickly and easily. And now, I’m sharing them with you. They can be a real help when you’re shopping for a last minute item, have a very tight budget, or just hate paying sticker price for anything. (See also: Deep Discounts on Schedule: The Best Days to Shop)

1. Search every Craigslist at the same time

Craigslist revolutionized the way we all shop classified ads (as the newspaper industry quickly found out to its detriment). You post ads for free, search ads for free, contact the seller or buyer directly and do the deal without any hassle. But most people search their local Craigslist, which limits the bargains you can find and the net you can cast when trying to track something very particular down.

A site called allofcraigs.com does away with the local search and puts your query out there across every Craigslist site. I recently purchased something from someone in Los Angeles. No one in my state had what I was looking for. He shipped it quickly to me and was happy to do business out of state. Not everyone is, but most just want to make the sale. Check it out, bookmark it, and use it often.

2. Search every eBay site at the same time

Although eBay has a much broader reach than your local Craigslist site, it still confines searches to the eBay in your country. But why? I have bought many, many items from the UK eBay, especially music and movies, and who knows what else is lurking out there on other eBay sites. So, why not search them all? You may find a better deal, better prices or faster shipping options.

To search every eBay, you first need to have an eBay account. When you are logged in, go to the Advanced Search page. Enter the usual search keywords and other requirements as you normally would in a regular eBay search. But, when you scroll down to the Location field, select "Items available to", then choose "All Countries/Regions" from the drop-down list. When you do your search, you can see items matching your search from every eBay site out there. Nice.

3. Find products locally that are in stock

During peak shopping seasons, like Christmas or Halloween, stores will quickly sell out of the items you want to buy. This happens every year with the “must have toys” and gadgets that people have on their wish lists. I spent months tracking down a Wii for my wife a few years ago, and this tool would have come in handy. It’s a site called Milo.com. You may have heard of it in the news recently because eBay just purchased it for a cool $75 million. Hopefully, the service remains just as good under the new management. All you do is type in the name of the item you’re looking for and you’ll get a list of results showing stores in your area that have it in stock! Saves a lot of calling around and emailing.

4. Use an auction sniper service

There are quite a few of these around, including Bidnip.com, Auctionsniper.com, EZsniper.com and Bidnapper.com. They all work in basically the same way, and it can save you a ton of time and money. Simply input the item number of the auction you’d like to win, the maximum amount you’d like to pay and, the cool part, when you’d like your bid to post. I usually go for 3 seconds. Instead of seeing a bidding war ensue, you can sit back and get on with your life, while the service puts in a last-minute bid for you.

Of course, this is not a guaranteed win. Sometimes, there can be communication issues and the service cannot place the bid in time. Sometimes someone else is using an auction sniper as well. And it you absolutely have to have the item, no questions asked, then relying on an auction sniper is not your best bet. But if you want to grab an item without seeing the price skyrocket over the days (or weeks) then this is for you. It also helps to avoid fake bidding, when people will actually try and inflate the price of the product they’re selling by bidding against you as someone else.

5. Always do an online price comparison

These were all the rage a few years ago, but with the popularity of the Google Shopping tab, and some of the sites mentioned above, people don’t often use the price comparison shoppers any more. That’s a big mistake in my book. Sites like bizrate.com, mysimon.com, nextag.com, and pricegrabber.com have taken a lot of the hard work out of finding great deals. Just put the item in that you want and you’ll see who’s selling it for less. Remember though, always do a total price comparison, quite often shipping and handling can turn a good deal into a bad one, or an average deal into a great one.

6. If you have the technology, compare prices in store

How so? Well, if you have a smart phone you can use it to your advantage. Apps like Redlaser and Shop Savvy allow you to scan the barcodes of products using the built-in camera. They then search the web for that product and return the results, so that you can find the best deal. If that’s not for you, you can always use the internet on your cell phone to do a quick product search on the sites mentioned in part 5. Several stores have computers inside the store that will enable you to search the web and compare prices. And if all else fails and you’re still not sure, call someone who does have access to the web and won’t mind helping you out. Remember, if in doubt, walk out.

7. If there’s a coupon code box, there’s usually a code out there

The coupon box is a double-edged sword to be honest. On the one hand, its presence means that the site accepts coupons. But that also means you an burn a lot of hours trying to find them, when there may not be any valid coupons available at the time. I usually try retailmenot.com whenever I see a coupon box. There is usually a discount code on there for the site I’m buying from. If not, I’ll do a quick hunt online. But if I haven’t found one after five minutes, I drop it and buy without using a coupon. I have learned the hard way, after obsessively searching for hours to find a coupon that gets me a 2% discount, that it’s just not worth the effort if you don’t find a coupon quite quickly. Also, remember to look for printable coupons to use when you shop in store.

8. Always check the daily deals sites

There are way too many to list here, but some of my personal favorites are slickdeals, buxr, dealhack, dealnews, freestufftimes, and our very own Wise Bread deals section. Some of the deals are awesome, but stay focused. Sometimes the deals are so tempting that you buy stuff you really weren’t looking for, and that can get expensive. Keep your eyes on the prize.

Those are my favorites, and they work wonders for me. Do you have any tips to add to the list? It wasn't an asteroid impact, but has so far been generally acknowledged as a welcome update. Amidst the revisions are the Mac minis, always a hot point of contention — some journos have a compulsive habit to exclaim "They're dying!" every few months. Such irrationality is useless.

But what is useful is knowing where the sweet price points are. I'm a Mac enthusiast, and I also use Windows regularly. Like a daywalker vampire, I have the perspectives of both platforms. Every time talk of "The Apple tax" or "Apple stuff being overpriced" comes up, the same arguments are redundantly trotted out, often centered around cost vs. convenience. (It'd be nice if there was one master FAQ so people didn't repeat themselves since certain facts are well-established, but that's not going to happen.)

My warning, not to frighten, but to enlighten: you probably should NOT order from the Apple Store unless you want a BTO (Build To Order) custom configuration sooner. The generic base configs are available at resellers for less; they'll be populated over the next stretch of weeks and you may not have to pay sales tax, which could save you $50-75 or more. (There are also edu and gov discounts, but I'm focusing on the broad consumer market.)

Hopefully, if you've been dreaming of a new Mac mini, I can help you make sense of what to avoid. Namely…

The "2.0GHz : 320GB" model doesn't make sense

You get an additional 1GB of RAM (for 2GB total) and roughly 200GB more hard drive space (for 320GB total, actual formatted capacity is less), but at what price? An extra US$200 over the $599 base model! (Much more in some other countries.) Why is this a bad idea?

There's no processor speed boost

Yes, you can BTO a 2.26GHz (for $150 more) and I'm awaiting benchmarks on that. But with this price premium, you'd expect something special.

RAM is a rip-off

Yes, it's harder to install RAM in a Mac mini. 1GB is unpleasantly cramped in this day and age so I'd recommend at least 2GB, which the Apple Store charges you $50 extra for. 4GB total is even better but that's $150, nearing 3 times the price of Other World Computing's 4GB kit @ $65 (which will require removing the 1GB base DIMM). RAM prices are volatile, but even with convenience weighed here, this is a bad bet. Not as bad as this red flag, but still absurd.

I'd suggest watching YouTube for forthcoming videos on how to install RAM in the new Mac mini and decide whether you can stomach the cost.

That hard drive upgrade is horrifically overpriced

OUCHBLEGHH! That's the sound of your pocketbook and/or PayPal account hemorrhaging. In Apple's BTO, it's listed as a 120GB -> 320GB upgrade for an extra $175! OUCH. Considering 1TB — roughly 5x the upgrade size — external hard drives routinely sell for a touch under $100 and continue to drop, you're not getting your money's worth here. Compact (2.5" form factor) hard drives are common at 500GB for the same price, like this Seagate FreeAgent Go (I own a smaller 320GB one and it's very nice). As Gizmodo and many others have pointed out, get an external drive instead.

If speed's your concern, opt for a FireWire enclosure which typically runs $25-50 more. If that's still not fast enough, there are pricier options, but you likely wouldn't be looking at a Mac mini anyway. I would only go for the 320GB upgrade if I was using the Mac mini as an HTPC and it was absolutely necessary to store all those movies & music internally because I found an external drive aesthetically unappealing, or if I needed to move my mini around a lot.

What to do if you want a good deal on a new Mac mini

Check MacSurfer regularly. They compile daily reviews, user stories, and of course, pricing comparisons to help you make an informed decision.

To that specific effect, refer to Mac Prices. I've called around to several places and it seemed there was an "up to 10-day wait" on getting BTO configs from them. If you want it sooner, you could go with the Apple Store, but remember the sales tax.

Don't rush unless getting the Mac mini sooner will give you an irreplaceable amount of joy (not to be confused with buyer's remorse) OR it'll help you generate more money & resources in that lead time.

If you're absolutely sure of your needs, then by all means override my guidance.

What about Hackintoshes?

I'm aware of the multiplying, even-cheaper "run Mac OS X on non-Apple hardware" possibilities out there of legal dubiosity. I'm not looking at those because there simply isn't another machine as beautiful, quiet, tiny, etc. as the new Mac mini. It's not just about looks but the overall experience and proverbial peace of mind.

I'm aware Hackintoshes are maturing to be more stable, but still: system updates aren't as easy, numerous quirks exist, and they certainly aren't supported by AppleCare, which can be had for cheap. Until those hurdles are substantially bypassed, Hackintoshes are fascinating experiments with many caveats I'd rather not deal with. In the ongoing balance between cost vs. convenience, I've slid towards the latter, but haven't slid so far as to be impaled on the spikes described above.

Am I getting a new Mac mini?

I plan to. And why not, say, an iMac? Because my HDTV is already a decent-sized screen. I want a handy little home media controller to occasionally bring from one room to another without the pain of lugging a tower (my Mac Pro). It'll also free up my MacBook Pro, currently serving as my media center, to do suitably portable things. As you can see, while our household thrives on some things like tech and kittens, other stuff falls happily into Linsey Knerl's camp.

Furthermore, a Mac mini will be a nice way to run some apps with the elegance Apple offers. While I'm not counting on it being a stellar performer for the virtual world of Second Life, it's better than the previous generation, and I'm thinking of using to rez additional avatars for machinima. Maybe my Mac mini will help my wife understand why Apple is such as "liquid experience" compared to the Windows cruft I'm appalled by (but continue to endure).

Now you know where I'm coming from, I'm looking at getting a 2.26GHz Mac mini with 2GB RAM and 120GB hard drive, then upgrading the RAM later if I need the expansion (I'm clumsy with tools, ask the stripped screw in my Mac Pro) and hooking up an external drive. The cheapest price I've found on this so far is $794 at MacMall before shipping, but despite it saying "In Stock" on that front page, it's actually not. Boo for crummy advertising. My desires could change based on what I find out in the next week or two, so stay tuned.

Are you interested in a new Mac mini? One particular $1 home sold for cash after being on the market for 19 days. The buyer seems to have gotten the deal of a lifetime, but did she?

As detailed in the article , the buyer will need to sink in a considerable amount of money to rehab the home to a livable state because everything of value including the kitchen sink have been stripped and stolen from the house. Even if she rehabs the home, as long as it stays vacant looters will steal whatever she puts in. Additionally, she will owe $3900 on the property taxes unless she challenges the assessment. Basically, that $1 purchase could very well turn into a very large money pit.

One dollar homes are not exactly unique to Detroit. The Department of Housing and Urban Development or HUD for short regularly sells homes for $1 each to local governments through their Dollar Homes program . The local government is responsible for rehabbing the homes and reselling them to moderate and low income families. So once again, a $1 home costs much more than $1 for the buyer.

Another interesting place to buy $1 homes is Norfolk, MA. The town regularly sells historic homes slated for demolition for $1. The catch is that if you buy the home you do not buy the land underneath it and you are required to move the home. It generally costs $10000 or more to move an entire home, but if you already have a plot of land it might not be such a bad deal. For those who do not have land, some homes might have antique finishings and raw materials that can be salvaged.

Looking at all the options, it seems that even though these homes are 99.99% discounted they may not be such a good deal for most people. However, they might be a steal for those who have the time and resources to either salvage the raw materials or rehab them for future profit. One thing is clear, $1 homes never really cost just $1 and buyers should always be wary of anything that is extraordinarily cheap.

This article is from Xin Lu of Wise Bread, an award-winning personal finance and credit card comparison website. I got the Nano for a $50 deposit and it's been terrific. Brand new, not a refurb, quickly shipped to me and the checking account is great. Right now you can get several different styles of the classic Chuck Taylor Converse shoes, including these great high-tops, for under $10.

Just click here to visit Musician's Friend (a site I trust for great deals on music) and grab yourself or your lucky friends and relatives a pair or two of classic Americana starting at the silly price of just $8.99 per pair. That's down significantly from the retail price of $44.99, an amazing saving. I don't think I've a seen a shoe deal to match this one in a long time, but they will sell out very quickly so get them fast.

Shipping starts at around $5.95, there are over 20 styles to choose from and most sizes are available (at the time of this article). On an interesting side note, I never thought that learning to play the guitar would get me great deals on shoes. Ahh, the sweet circle of life. Enjoy.

P.S. I wonder, have you ever discovered a sweet deal in an unexpected place? My most unusual find was a cheap graphic design book in store that sold organic fruit and vegetables. They had a little shelf at the back of the store full of new books for sale. Quite an odd combo, but it worked for me.

This article is from Paul Michael of Wise Bread, an award-winning personal finance and credit card comparison website. We've had our King Size bed for almost 7 years now, and although it's holding up well it's not as great as it used to be. But Amazon is almost giving away these expensive 2 INCH thick memory foam toppers, which means my sleep is about to get a whole lot better again.

The actual product is called the Complete Comfort DreamCoil 2-inch memory foam topper. Phew. And the savings are major. Whatever size you choose, you get it for just $34.99 with FREE shipping. That means a saving of around $85 on the twin size, and a whopping $165 on the California King.

NOTE: As a guest has very aptly pointed out, the reviews seem to point out an issue with size (possibly the reason for the stellar deal). I simply ordered one size larger, but please keep that in mind.

Just click the link below to get yours. And in the spirit of sharing, we'd like to hear what you, our readers, are particularly fond of purchasing in the past year. If you add your great purchase story in the comments section, you'll be automatically enrolled in a random drawing for a $25 gift certificate from Amazon.com!

CONGRATULATIONS TO SYLRAYJ, OUR WINNER FOR THE $25 AMAZON GIFT CERTIFICATE DRAWING. THANK YOU TO EVERYONE FOR PARTICIPATING.

Being frugal isn't just about saving money - it's about spending wisely. Shopping isn't a sin, and frugal shopping isn't an oxymoron. It's just a matter of assessing your needs, wants, and then doing a little research. And when you find something that really suits your needs, buying becomes a truly rewarding experience.

Here's what we spent our hard-earned dollars on:

Julie Rains

My new road bike is my best purchase.

I have had others (bicycles) and my most recent one had carried me from my teens, cycling to high school rather than driving or taking the bus, and riding up and down mountains on a 2-week, 200+ mile ride on the Blue Ridge Parkway from Peaks of Otter, Virginia to Mount Mitchell, North Carolina clear through to a young adult with occasional leisurely jaunts from Fleetwood to Todd, also in the Blue Ridge Mountains with great views of the New River.

Though never a stand-out athlete, I used to enjoy competing in summer league swimming, AAU swimming, high school track, and community road races (10Ks). But being in the water doesn’t leave much time for socializing and road races seemed to be becoming more competitive than fun so I dropped out of racing altogether. Then, as the years passed, I piled up obligations: at home with my family, at work, and around town with volunteer activities, nearly dropping me out of the fitness arena altogether.

A hike up Mount LeConte a couple of years ago convinced me that I needed to begin a regular exercise routine, and so, finally, I decided to join the Y, which had always seemed to be expensive to me. The Y workouts led to setting goals for strength training and cardio. And, at some point, I decided to get back into bike riding.

From the time I made those rides in the mountains to this past year, the world of cycling had changed dramatically. For starters, road bikes had become very technical and expensive. Besides my car and computer, my road bike is the single highest priced item I’ve ever bought just for me. I’ve come to love riding, socializing on group rides, getting an emotional/spiritual lift from being outside, and sleeping really well at night after a great workout, whether it’s a studio cycling session at the Y or a metric century charity ride.

What I love about cycling is that you can compete against yourself; that is you can set goals and gain satisfaction from reaching them, whether it’s a faster mph or a yet a longer distance. And, notwithstanding doping allegations, generally those who excel in the sport get there not just because of birthright, geography, and/or an early start but because of training and tenacity.

Jessica Harp

Our Las Vegas Wedding. Hands down the best thing I purchased in the last year.

When it came to wedding planning, my husband and I had completely different ideas of what our dream wedding was going to be. In fact, we had the stereotypical wedding planning roles totally reversed. He wanted an extravagant wedding with an equally extravagant reception for 500 of our closest friends, and I couldn’t justify spending $20,000+ for a one day affair. I would have been happy running over to the courthouse during my lunch hour to get married by a Justice of the Peace.

So, in the spirit of compromise, we decided to get married in Vegas! We had a traditional ceremony in our hotel’s onsite wedding chapel at a fraction of the cost (and stess!) normally associated with modern weddings. I do not know if it was all the champagne they plied us with at the salon before the wedding, the fact that getting married in Vegas allowed us bypass the normal stress associated with a wedding, or the combination thereof; but we had a blast at our wedding. If you look at our wedding pictures, there is not one picture of us not smiling or having a great time. It was the best day of my life, and I would not trade it for anything.

In retrospect, our Las Vegas wedding was the best thing we purchased in the past year because it allowed us to focus on our marriage and not our wedding. Instead of spending months stressing out about a one-day event, we spent the months leading up to our wedding channeling our energy, time, and resources into preparing for our future together.

Will Chen

My best purchase was Wise Bread.com.

Greg and I registered this domain name for about $8. We had no idea what to do with it. Greg wanted to do a shopping blog. I wanted to turn it into a Digg for consumers. Lucky for us, Sarah was one of the first bloggers to join us. She wanted to write articles that will help young people fresh out of college. Sort of a "new adult's guide" to personal finance. We loved the idea.

Thanks to Lynn's eye for talent, Wise Bread now has a wonderful community of writers. I love discovering cool tips, thoughtful essays, and fun discussions on this little website every single day.

We launched Wise Bread just a few weeks before Christmas. It is a gift that keeps on giving.

Sarah Winfrey

We wanted to get out of the country, and we wanted to have both private time and activities, and we didn't want to spend a ton of money. Dave was all for an all-inclusive resort, but I was skeptical because I hate all things "touristy." My mom's friend had been to Sayulita with her boyfriend and loved it.

We ended up getting a very private large studio-sized "room," with a complete kitchen, for less than half of what we would have paid for the best deal we could find at a resort. We had all the beach and related activities that we wanted, again for substantially less than we'd have paid in the resort towns. In addition, we got the color and flare of a more traditional Mexican town. It was the best of both worlds--the town had enough tourists that we didn't have the stress of communication struggles and being stared at, but it was not so overrun with Americans that we wondered why we bothered to leave the country. We got to detox from the wedding planning and stress and focus on starting our lives together.

Jessica Okon

The best thing I bought all year was Eygptian Magic Healing Cream.

I had read rave reviews about this odd-ball beauty product. The packaging is a bit kooky ala Dr.Bronner's complete with pyramid and allusions to mystical powers. Initially I thought it was a tad pricey for a mere salve, but it has been worth every penny. It works amazingly on burns, cuts & scars. I use it as a lip balm, hand, foot and body lotion, and night eye cream.

A friend of mine raves about it healing her eczema, and another has used it for post-baby stretch marks with good results. I've even used a tiny amoung to moisturize the ends of my hair. For such an all-purpose product, I am very impressed. It is always sold out at my local health food store, so if you see a jar, grab it!

Paul Michael

My best purchase is a little off the beaten track. I purchased my own company. Well, by that I mean I incorporated my small freelance business.

I was a little afraid at first. I mean, it's a big step to become a business owner, or so I thought. A friend had recommended Legalzoom.com, another Incfile.com. I did Incfile because it was a lot cheaper and just as professional. It cost me about $130 to do the paperwork, but the tax advantages are so amazing that it has already paid for itself 20 times over. I can now write-off everything from new computer equipment to mileage and business lunches.

Whereas before I was afraid of earning too much in one year because of the tax hammer coming down, now it doesn't worry me. And when I did my taxes in March, I was surprised to see just how much my incorporation had saved me. Roughly $3000. Not bad. It's all completely legal, I'm not dodging taxes or anything like that, I am simply getting a better deal because the taxman treats businesses a lot better than individuals. If you have a small business, be it making hair bows, mowing lawns or selling art, I would suggest looking into incorporation. The tax advantages are enormous.

By the way, I opted for LLC. There are others, like S-Corp and C-Corp, but they all have different pros and cons. Check them out with an accountant.

Lynn Truong

I know the skepticism of those who don't own one. Won't it make you watch more TV? Does skipping commercials really save you that much time? Isn't it just a glorified VCR, which you never used anyway?

I admit, I follow a lot of TV shows. But if I log in my daily TV hours, it's between 1-2 hours. That's because I don't surf (if I feel like watching TV, I go directly to shows saved in my DVR instead of scanning mindlessly through the hundreds of channels, trying to find something of interest at that given moment), and skipping commercials saves a lot of time. If you consider that commercials take up 20 minutes each hour (I know this because unless I start watching at least 20 minutes after the show has started, I will inevitably catch up to it live, and will need to sit through at least one or two more sets of commercials), you can actually watch 3 hour-long shows in 2 hours.

A DVR guarantees that whenever you want some TV time, you've got something good to watch. If I've already caught up on all my regular shows, or it's rerun season, I can browse through Good Eats, Globe Trekker, The Simpsons, Man vs. Wild--shows that I don't keep up with, but I enjoy and always keep an episode or two saved. You can program all sorts of neat things with the DVR. For these shows, I reserve one or two episodes each. The DVR will keep recording the latest show every time it sees it on. While the shows that I religiously follow, I set it to record every week, without set numbers of episodes. So if I don't watch Heroes for 4 weeks, I'll have all 4 episodes still saved. But for a show like Good Eats, there's always just two of the most recent episodes.

I'm home all day, so I have the flexibility to schedule my TV time, but it's not worth it. TV is the last thing I need to work around. But when I'm ready for a break, I like to relax on my favorite chair and see what happened on Oprah a few hours ago, and if that's a repeat, let's see what's cooking on Good Eats.

And another big perk is when it's a great and exciting moment on 24 and the phone rings or there's a knock at the door or your roommate comes home blabbing on the cell phone, you can just pause or rewind and you didn't miss a thing.

This is how I can follow Heroes, 24, Gilmore Girls, Scrubs, Grey's Anatomy, CSI, Lost, Battlestar Galactica, Oprah, The Daily Show, The Colbert Report, Nip/Tuck, America's Next Top Model, Desperate Housewives, How I Met Your Mother, and Smallville on 1-2 hours/day.

Andrea Dickson

My house doesn't have a lot of storage space, and I have a lot of stuff. My master bath is the size of a closet, and my countertop was overflowing with my various hair and skin care products. Under the counter didn't offer a convenient solution to my storage problem, as I could find no good way to arrange everything that I needed on a daily basis.

I finally decided that I needed a medicine cabinet. I had to fight for my right to get it. EVERYONE advised against it. My mom called them 'tacky'. My boyfriend tried to shame me out of it by pointing out how the stainless steel cabinet that I chose at IKEA wouldn't match the Craftsman style of my home.

But I would NOT be deterred, and I'm so glad that I stuck to my guns on this one.

For $60, I bought a HUGE cabinet that holds all of those little vials and bottles and brushes and capsules. It's mirrored inside and out, so if I've got some strange pimple that needs examining or a errant eyebrow that needs plucking, I can find a good angle for viewing and destroying, using any of the reflective surfaces on my medicine cabinet.

My countertop is finally clean and clear, which is a first for me. Ever. To sweeten the deal even more, my stuff actually looks GOOD inside of the cabinet - when I open the mirrored doors, it's like opening a vault onto a treasure trove of beauty potions.

You?

What was your best purchase in the past year? But, they grew on me. I own a pair.

Now, thanks to Amazon, a coupon code I'm about to give you, and the good folks at Teva, you can get a pair of what I now consider to be the ugliest shoes on this Earth for less than $10, a saving of $75. Aren't you lucky...and brave.

Teva Mimmick shoes come with the following description...

"Using styling from our professional kayaking bootie, the P2, and applying street appeal, the Mimmik is perfect for travel, office or strolling around town. With the use of a Mush insole (trust us, it feels like it sounds), the Mimmik is the ultimate in comfort."

Honestly, I have trouble figuring out what the 'street appeal' is, but maybe I'm getting old. And get this. They don't just come in the weird black color shown above. They also come in brown. Woot! Brown rubber, now that's surely stylish.

They also make a great gift for, ummm, Klingons. Although even in the distant reaches of outer space, I still suspect these things look just as goofy. Not that I'd ever call a Kilngon goofy...I value my skin, and would prefer not to have it peeled off. I digress.

To get your pair of Teva, all you need to do is click this link . Once you've picked your style and size, apply the following code ASEV2794 to cut the price in half, making then just $9.90 plus around $6 shipping.

If you buy a pair, can you send me a picture of yourself wearing them at the office. I've been sick recently and could use a good laugh.

This article is from Paul Michael of Wise Bread, an award-winning personal finance and credit card comparison website.
