If you’re in the market for a new fan, you’ll want an efficient, effective option with the right combination of power, style, and quiet operation. With so many to choose from at all different price points, it can be difficult to decide. That’s why we’ve found some of the best fans on the market to help get you started.

What Is a Fan?

A fan is a device with rotating blades that can create a breeze and cool a space by circulating air. They can cool the air and help with ventilation to improve the air temperature and quality. There are various types of fans available, including tower, window, oscillating, blameless, floor, and table fans.

You’ll want a quiet, reliable fan that can cool the entire space with easy-to-use controls and an attractive design that can fit your personal style. Each fan has its own unique features, which may include a sleep timer, remote control, air ionizer, and much more.

Top 5 Fans

Vornado 660 Whole Room Air Circulator

While the Vornado 660 Whole Room Air Circulator is the most expensive option on our list, you likely won’t find a more impressive fan, especially in this compact size. Many reviewers find that this has better air circulation on the lowest setting than most other fans have on the highest setting.

The energy saving fan features four quiet speed settings, intuitive push-button controls, and heavily contoured blades, which can move air up to 100 feet. The superior, stylish design allows the fan to effortlessly tilt between horizontal and vertical airflow positions along a chrome glide bar, so you can direct the flow of air wherever you choose. The signature Vortex Technology provides complete circulation of all the air throughout a room. The specially sized inlet directs air to the most efficient parts of the blades to increase airflow. The deep pitch blades are enclosed in a cylindrical duct, so the air is sculpted into a high-velocity column. The AirTensity grill creates a spiral effect that allows the air to efficiently travel throughout the area. It is easy to use and easy to clean thanks to a detachable grill, which provides easy access to the blades. The well-built fan features dramatic gloss, matte finishes, and sleek lines.

Fans do NOT "cool the air" - all they do is move it around.

Most people DO NOT misunderstand the concept that is being offered here. Yeah, we know it doesn't "cool" the air, but it moves it, which makes it seem cooler. Don't be a dork.

Big fan of the Seville Classics UltraSlimline Tower Fan! You can get that one plus a little one (perfect for a desk or to put it anywhere around the house) for under $60 at most Costco warehouses.
