You can actually attract money to you in unpredictable ways if you are in the right frame of mind.
Although some people may balk at this idea, it isn't any longer considered to be "out there coo-coo" stuff as it once was. Progress in the field of quantum physics and the widespread popularity of the law of attraction have been made accessible to the public through movies like The Secret and What The Bleep Do We Know.
Why do most people who have positive sunny dispositions seem to have the best luck? Conversely, why do people who consistently focus on the negative seem to continually get hit by the school of hard knocks? Is this a series of coincidences, or is there something more to it?
Modern science now indicates that indeed this isn't as coincidental as we may think. The concept of "like attracts like" is a provable one, on the basis that everything is made up of tangible vibrating frequencies, including our thoughts.
The Prosperity Game operates on a similar basis. It is a free online "game", in which you are encouraged to dream big with money that is coming to you. Versions of this game vary, but the general idea is that you receive a virtual check every day for three weeks. Each check is progressively larger, and you must spend all the money. And you can't invest it or give it away; you must spend it. By the time the game climaxes, you are spending millions of dollars.
I played the game myself a few years ago with interesting results. I was relatively sceptical when I began, but humoured a friend in playing it. One of the beginning exercises was to make a list of 100 things to be, do, and have. And believe it or not, 100 was actually difficult to reach! Sure, I easily pounded off 40, 50, even 60 things pretty quickly. But beyond that it became difficult, and an exercise in opening up my mind to the possibilities.
Once in the thick of the game, I was spending my virtual checks relatively lackadaisically. I did, however, enjoy checking off my "100 list", and it became a fun way to start each day.
By the third week, I noticed a subtle shift. One day I found $65 in the stairwell at my office building. The next, I landed a new account with my business that proved extremely lucrative without even trying - they came to me. Then checks started arriving in the mail - real checks.
I wouldn't say the game changed my life as you sometimes read in testimonials that smack of "born again" life alterations. Redefining your relationship with money goes way deeper than playing a three-week online game. It takes a lot of work.
However, I will say that it subtly changed my paradigm about and relationship with money, and I haven't looked back. Now I'm one of those positive people that seem to have the gods of good fortune smiling down on me. And I wouldn't have it any other way!
