Hi there, and thank you for reading, we are Ryan and Leslie of Spilling Buckets….we’re glad you stopped by.

Much has changed since starting this blog back in March 2008; what was once a journal of sorts written to help us stay focused and organized has evolved and grown into a discussion and collection of ideas from smart and interesting people all over the place. This blog has taught us immense amounts about ourselves, where we have been, and where we are going. It has forced us to ask ourselves the tough and uncomfortable questions, and we couldn’t be more thankful.

Why Spilling Buckets?We are glad you asked. Pretty weird right? Well, one snowy day in Rochester New York, we sat down and sketched out some financial goals on paper. They kinda looked and acted like buckets, and we stacked them in an order we felt fit us best, one goal would get accomplished and then our efforts and money would spill over into the next. Spilling Buckets, get it? [Quick note for the lawyers out there, Spilling Buckets is in no way a financial advisory service.
