We're a young family of four in the suburbs of Seattle. Our family's goal has always been to live below our means in order to better help others. Even in this economy and in expensive regions like ours, we believe that through smarter spending families can both save and serve more. The purpose of this blog is to help families like ours discover their everyday cost-savings opportunities to help them meet their long term financial and charitable goals through more efficient spending habits. I'm a graduate of the Evergreen State College in Olympia, Washington. I was raised on a steady diet of public policy and political activisim. I pursued public policy as a career and spent five years working in public policy before leaving to join the private sector with one of the nation's largest building demolition firms. I'm now attempting a more entrepreneurial carreer in order to spend more doing good for my family and community. I'm joyfully married to my best friend and together we have adopted our two wonderful daughters ages 10 and 3.
