I have a business and offer writing services so, on occasion, I have been asked to write business plans. Those making such requests are generally very eager, convinced of their no-fail ideas, and are being held back only by a lack of funding. Bankers do want to make loans but they also want to avoid loan defaults, so the would-be lenders ask for a business plan.

As a supplement to my
last post about using WordPress to set up a personal or business website for free (minus the price of domain name registration and/or hosting), here are some ideas for enhancing the functionality of your site or blog with some plugins and other third-party add-ons. Almost all are free, although there are a few that have a nominal fee, based on what you require:

This article provides some instructions for anyone who would like to set up a basic website for themselves, but who does not have much experience with HTML, CSS, PHP, etc.

Ever dreamed of patenting a great idea that could make you a fortune? The Pet Rock maybe? Or the Jump To Conclusions mat? Well, you'll find even more crazy ideas using Google Patent Search , or even better, submit one of your own.
I've only been buzzing around on Google's patent search engine for a few minutes, but I have already found some very unusual and unique inventions. Amy Doan (aka Shrinkle) is a designer and entreprenuer whose work I came across quite by accident. Amy's been selling her fashionable creations on eBay for over 6 years. Her self-described "Trashy Clothes for Classy Hos" have accrued a cult following all over the world. A mixture of unique fabrics, thrift-store finds, and lots and lots of ribbon, Amy's punky-girly-gothy threads are so unique that even an old fogey like me can appreciate her artistry and keen eye for detail.

Dean Takamine is the smart-shoppin' blogger and handsome face behind the deal-finding, coupon-clipping site, Mr. Cheap Stuff. Dean spends his spare time searching for, then posting, the best online shopping deals. As a tech-loving guy, Mr. Cheap Stuff can be counted on to give you the lowdown on some of the best gadget-grubbing, money-saving opportunities on the web.
I asked Dean to share his motives, inspiration, and goals with Wise Bread readers. Also, I had to find out how he can possibly stand living in the tropical paradise we call Hawaii. I can't help it - it must be SUCH a hard existence.
