Whistle blower

I like to keep up with all the latest news and info. I'm a big fan of Digg, BBC news, NPR, CNN, all the usual suspects. I thought I was fairly well-versed on the places to get my information and keep me "in the know." Then a friend of mine came over to visit from England, and he gave me a gift. Career Building

phishing

My husband and I are no strangers to the job hunt scene. Before he was even out of college, we were scouring the newspapers, searching the online databases, and handing out resumes to colleagues in hopes of helping him land that killer job. Trust the experts book cover

PC World's Editor-in-Chief Harry McCracken resigned Tuesday because the magazine's publisher pressured him to "avoid stories that were critical of major advertisors," according to reports by News.com and Wired.

If you're like me, the closest you get to hacking anything is when you are allowed to carve the turkey at Thanksgiving. But lately, I've been inspired to learn how to do all those techy things that my nerdy friends seem so good at. I'm also a sucker for most Mac products, but I had heard bad things about AppleTV.

So I was happy to see tech-lovin' geeks at Wired Magazine publish a fun hack that turns AppleTV into a full-fledged computer.

News reports and bloggers are all atwitter today about the news that the FBI can listen in on your coversations while your cell phone is off, by tapping into your microphone. It's like wearing a wireless wire!
