I hadn’t been out shopping at a furniture mega-store in over 6 months. I just didn’t have the money to buy anything, and to be honest, I was way too busy to shop. Last night, however, I strolled through the furniture showroom with my jaw unhinged and my heart thumping: “Look at all this good-looking stuff!”

I don't like buying new. It's not that I consider myself to be some kind of Scrooge. I just have a hard time paying more for something than I need to, and often we take that extra hit when we pay for a brand new item. So, I buy second-hand things a lot of the time. Here's my guide to the main items you should always consider buying used.

Last August, I decided to purchase my first new car ever. I had only ever owned used (and entirely paid-for) vehicles prior to this. I researched the type of car that I wanted and settled on a 2007 Mazda3. It's a sexy little hatchback. It's sporty, zippy, and has all the trimmings. Problem is, it's busting my budget. I decided to ask three of my favotire personal finance bloggers for advice on whether or not to sell.
