Amy B. Scher
I'm in my late 20's (oh my) and love to write about anything that makes me smile, cry or think. Some consider me an eternal optimist (I know, it's annoying) but I believe life is what you make of it. And I always make it the best I can.

I've always marched to the beat of my own drum, shopping at thrift stores, buying clearance items and deal hunting. So, I'm not sure I have any formal experience, but living it is worth more sometimes. I started off in the insurance industry as a managing editor for a major online company early in my career, soon progressing (depending on who you ask) to the world of politics at a newspaper. I also drudged my way through a short stint as a marketing manager for Harley-Davidson before becoming disabled by a chronic illness which led me, ironically (or not), into my dream of writing full-time. So, here I am doing what I love and at the same time, in a way I never thought I'd be doing it. But I've found the road less traveled has all the best stuff on it.
Long bio:
A southern California girl (but not the bratty kind), I'm not typical of what you find where I grew up. I switch off between two pairs of shoes (uggs and flip flops), would never buy trendy clothes just because everyone else wears them and drive the car I love, not because it's what is cool (although it does happen to be quite cool). I love to play in the mud when I garden, cook, clean (yes, really) and am one of those people who really does stop to smell the roses while walking down the street.
