How to Find the Best American Express Card Promotions

  1. Internet – Our Recommended Option. One of the best ways to get the most current American Express promotions is through the Internet. The website always has the newest cards and offers available. Plus, if you visit the website, you can compare the features of each card and choose the one that works the best for your situation. You can also apply right from your laptop and receive an answer of approval or denial almost instantly. If you have questions, there is usually a live chat option where you can chat with an Amex operator to help with your card selection and application.
  2. Mail Offers. Many consumers get credit card promotions through mail offers which are usually targeting a specific demographic or based on your own demographic. Mail offers often include current promotions for a particular card, usually the newest, with a phone number or website address such as myamexeverday.com and applydeltagold.com where you can apply for the card. These offers can be limiting though because they are sent based on specific criteria for your area.
  3. TV. You have likely seen American Express credit card ads on television featuring various celebrities such as Tina Fey using her Amex card to purchase workout gear and toys for her dog. Many of the American Express card promotions are offered on TV along with a phone number or website address where you can apply for the card featured in the commercial. Although most TV ads offer the most current promotions, they are usually limited to a handful of the most popular cards.
  4. Magazines/Newspapers.  You can still get American Express card promotions through magazine and newspaper ads. Like television ads, these promotions usually feature a specific card. However, with magazines and newspapers, you risk not getting the most up-to-date promotion simply because the ads could be from promotions that have ended.
  5. Bank Branches. If sitting down with a real person is your preference, you can still find American Express banks around. Your local bank may even be able to help you choose cards among different issuers. 

Credit Cards for People with Excellent to Good Credit

Most American Express credit cards require good to excellent credit ratings for qualification. Unlike other credit card issuers, American Express does not offer cards for building or rebuilding credit. If you are new to credit or have had credit problems in the past, you will need to rebuild or build with another issuer card or a secured credit card.
