The Platinum Delta SkyMiles® Credit Card from American Express provides various noteworthy travel benefits, plus opportunities to earn Medallion Qualification Miles and travel miles when you use it for purchases. How This Card Works

Earn two miles for each dollar spent on purchases made directly with Delta, and one mile for each dollar spent on other eligible purchases. Earn miles without any caps, and miles do not expire. 

Limited Time Offer: Earn 70,000 bonus miles and 10,000 Medallion® Qualification Miles (MQMs) after you spend $3,000 in purchases on your new card within your first 3 months.In addition, earn a $100 statement credit after you make a Delta purchase with your new card within your first 3 months. Free checked bag. Get your first bag checked free on every Delta flight.

Discounted Delta Sky Club access. When you fly Delta, you and two companions can access Delta Sky Club for a reduced fee of $29 per person. Sky Club provides perks such as Wi-Fi access, satellite TV, personalized flight assistance, and private restrooms.

In-flight discount. Receive a 20% discount on food, beverages, movies, and other in-flight purchases, when you use your card for the purchase. The savings appears as a credit on your statement.

Travel benefits. Includes various travel benefits such as a roadside assistance hotline, car rental loss and damage insurance, travel accident insurance, baggage insurance plan, and a global assist hotline.

Annual bonuses. Each year you renew your card, you automatically receive a round-trip domestic companion certificate. Plus, if you spend more than $25,000 with the card within a calendar year, you receive a bonus of 10,000 miles which is nearly enough for a one-way domestic Saver flight by itself.

Travel benefits. Includes a wide range of travel benefits that can not only make traveling more comfortable, but can also be quite valuable. In addition to free checked bags (for up to 8 companions) which can be worth as much as $50 per person on a round-trip Delta flight, and the 20% discount you receive on in-flight purchases, you also receive a discount on Sky Club lounge access. Passes to Delta's airport lounges, without the discount, usually cost about $50 per person for one day passes, but with the discount are only $29 per person. No foreign transaction fee. One of the greatest advantages for travelers is there is no foreign transaction fee, which can save you as much as 3% when you travel abroad. It is important, in order to maximize the value of the rewards program, that you aren't paying anything additional just to use your card for foreign purchases.
