If you've seen Tina Fey on TV lately, you've probably seen her going on about the new Amex EveryDay® Credit Card from American Express. It's Amex's latest line of rewards earning cards which has enticing offers to earn more points for your "everyday" purchases. Let's break down the card's features.

How This Card Works
Earn 2x points at US supermarkets (up to $6,000 in purchases per year, then 1x) and 1x points on other purchases. Additionally, earn 20% extra points if you make 20 or more purchases in a billing period (less returns and credits).
Welcome offer: Earn 10,000 bonus points after you make $1,000 in purchases within your first 3 months.
Membership rewards points can be used to redeem travel through the American Express Travel portal (which earns 2x points). You can also transfer points to select loyalty programs, or use points for cash, gifts cards, and merchandise.
Other Benefits
Travel benefits and services. When you travel with this card, you'll be covered by car rental insurance and travel accident insurance. You'll also have access to a roadside assistance hotline and a Global Assist Hotline, allowing you to be a simple phone call away from help whenever you need it.
Purchase protection. You're covered against theft and accidental damage for 90 days.
Extended warranty. Receive up to one extra year of warranty whenever you buy an item that has a warranty of five years or less, just by using this card to purchase it.
Return protection. If a merchant won't take your return, American Express may refund the full purchase price of an eligible item if you return the item within 90 days.
