Earn two miles for each dollar spent on eligible American Airlines purchases, and one mile for each dollar spent everywhere else.

Miles can be redeemed for airfare with American Airlines. You can also redeem miles for cabin upgrades or for flights with oneworld member airlines such as British Airways, Cathay Pacific, Iberia, Japan Airlines, Malaysia Airlines, and more.
Admirals Club. When you become a card member, you receive complimentary Admirals Club membership which allows access to nearly 50 airport lounges worldwide. This also allows access for you and guests traveling with you. These lounges provide amenities such as drinks and snacks, Internet access, and PCs, and usually cost $59 per visit or at least $450 per year for an individual membership. Annual miles bonus. If you spend $40,000 on purchases with your card within the year, you receive a bonus of 10,000 AAdvantage Elite Qualifying Miles (EQMs). EQMs are used to gain and maintain elite statuses of Gold, Platinum, or Elite Platinum with the AAdvantage program and depending on the level, provide extra flight perks and benefits.
Travel privileges. Receive priority check-in, priority airport screening, and early boarding when you fly with American Airlines.
Free checked bags. Your first checked bag is free as well as the first checked bag of up to eight companions on the same reservation on domestic American Airlines flights.
In-flight discount. Receive a 25% discount on in-flight purchases made with your card including, food, beverages, and headsets.
Application Fee credit. Get a statement credit up to $100 every 5 years for Global Entry or TSA Precheck application fee reimbursement.
Citi Price Rewind. If a purchase made with the credit card is found online for less within 60 days of the purchase date, you can receive a refund of the difference up to $300 per item and up to $1,200 per year.
Travel insurance. Get Lost Baggage Protection, Trip Cancellation and Worldwide Travel Accident Insurance, Worldwide Car Rental Insurance, and Travel & Emergency Assistance.
Purchase protection. You're covered for repairs or refunds for damaged or stolen items, for up to 120 days.
Extended warranty. Automatically get the manufacturer's warranty extended on your purchases.
This card is best for those who travel American Airlines very frequently, domestically or overseas.
