 Why We Like This Card

  • Round-trip companion certificate each year
  • Access to Delta Sky Club airport lounges

How This Card Works

Earn three miles for every dollar spent on purchases made directly with Delta, and one mile for every dollar spent on all other eligible purchases. Redeem miles for award flights with Delta Airlines or its partner airlines, or use them for seat upgrades, merchandise, and charitable donations. Earn an unlimited number of miles which do not expire. Cardholders also earn an annual companion certificate good for a Domestic First Class, Delta Comfort+® or Main Cabin round-trip ticket upon card renewal. Terms apply.

Welcome Offer: Earn 60,000 bonus miles after you spend $5,000 in purchases on your new Card in your first 6 months. You can earn 15,000 Medallion Qualification Miles (MQMs) after you spend $30,000 in purchases on your Card through 12/31/23, up to four times per year getting you closer to Medallion Status. MQMs are used to determine Medallion Status and are different from the miles you earn towards flights. Effective 1/1/24, this benefit will no longer be available, and there will be a new way to earn toward Medallion Status with the Card. Learn more at delta.com/skymilesprogramchanges. Terms apply.

Effective 2/1/25, Reserve Card Members will receive 10 Visits per year to the Delta Sky Club; to earn an unlimited number of Visits each year starting on 2/1/25, the total eligible purchases on the Card must equal $75,000 or more between 1/1/24 and 12/31/24, and each calendar year thereafter. Costs

Considerations

High annual fee. Although the card includes many travel benefits and rewards opportunities, there’s no way to get around the annual fee. The annual bonuses and valuable perks more than compensate for the fee but you have to actually use them or else the fee isn't worth it. (See also: Best Travel Rewards Credit Cards)

Who This Card Is Best For

This credit card is best for those who very frequently travel with Delta Airlines and can take advantage of its travel benefits, especially complimentary access to Delta Sky Clubs. Because of the annual fee, the card is also best for travelers who plan on making, at the very least, $30,000 in purchases per year to qualify for the annual bonuses.
