More About “Your Playbook For Tough Times”

Here’s a message from Donna Freedman:

On Thursday we’ll be talking about the concept of a “financial fire drill.” This is like an extreme budget makeover: You figure out how little you could get away with spending in a typical month, without jeopardizing health or safety or turning into a deadbeat.
The idea isn’t that you’ll give up all good things forever! It’s more of a safety measure: In case you or your spouse/partner got laid off or couldn’t work for a while, you’d know how much you need to get by.

There’s more to it than that, of course – and I’ll be on hand to share more!

Relatively few schools or houses burn down each year. But it’s still a good idea to know what to do if the fire alarm goes off! That’s why we have fire drills – and it’s why our budgets need fire drills, too.
