The 5 Best Juicers

ShareThis

There are plenty of good reasons for someone to invest in a juicer. First of all, making your own juice at home is cheaper in the long term than buying juice from a grocery store or Jamba Juice. Juicing the fruit that you consume is also healthier because the process of separating the pulp concentrates the nutrients and allows the body to absorb the nutrition more easily. It also allows for people to consume more raw produce. (See also: Shopping Calendar: The Best Time to Buy Anything)

What Is a Juicer?

A juicer is an appliance that separates the juice from the pulp of fruits and vegetables. When looking to buy a new juicer, it is important to know what type of juicer you want to get. The two main types of juicers we will focus on are citrus juicers and juice extractors. Naturally, a citrus juicer would be most appropriate if all you want is citrus juice. They are typically easier to clean and operate. Juice extractors are more appropriate if you plan on juicing a variety of fruits and vegetables.

You have missed the REAL best juicers. Omega VRT350 would yield much quality juice compared to those you listed. It's a slow juicer 80rpm but doesn't mean its that much slower. Plus VERY easy to clean since you don't have to worry about sharp blades.

I use the Breville Juice Fountain Elite and am very happy with it! The orange and other fruit juices are just amazing. I wrote a blog review on it at http://www.brevillejuicefountainelite.net

Breville Juice Fountain Elite is a great centrifugal juicer. It's fast and durable for daily home use for the whole family. However, if you're really serious about juicing I would suggest you take a masticating juicer like the Omega 8006.

This is a horrible list. The Breville's are efficient at juicing hard fruits and vegetables but the auger type juicers are much better. You can even get a hand crank auger juicer for 100 bucks if you google "Z-Star Manual Juicer "

Agreeing with DIGII here, cold press juicers are the way to go not all these centrifugal ones. You can get an Omega masticating juicer for $200-300, and the extra money is so worth it! The juice it makes is way less separated and thin and foamy, and you get so much more juice OUT of the juicer. This is the one I got and I love it: http://www.coldpressjuicers.net/products/omega-j8004-series
