Hi! I'm Wil Stanton. Almost 20 years ago, I started out on a journey to
learning personal finance the hard way. My parents were great, but this just
wasn't something that they talked about with their children at the time. My
schools didn't know how to teach personal finance either. Growing up was
difficult, but a lot of fun.
I set out to learn all I could about personal finance. I wanted to be there
to teach young people so that they wouldn't have to make the same mistakes I
made. At first, I did this one-on-one, but then I got bored with my job and
started takng a more direct approach to helping kids learn. I became a
teacher.
Now, as a teacher in Orange County, California, in addition to teaching the
subjects that all kids have to pass to graduate, I squeeze in some finance
education. I also wrote this book to help teens and their families learn
some of the basics of personal finance outside the classroom.
If you are a young person, or if you know any young people that need help
with money (and really, who couldn't use a little more help?), Finance For

information that will help young people to grow up to be financially secure
