Smart Step was founded, in 2007, on the principal that money is fun, easy and anyone can learn how to manage their own. Our belief is that when we understand money and are financially healthy we are better able to have an all around fulfilling life. You cannot reach your peak achievement potential in the rest of your life without having your money also on the track to achievement. We also believe that our society does not teach us about personal finance, and that women are taught even less than men are. What education does exist is mainly given to us by those trying to sell us something. The education and industry is also dominated by men, and men learn differently, have different investing styles and different manage money differently. Because of all of this we do not sell financial products, we do not talk down to you and there are no dumb questions. We provide balanced, unbiased education to help you make the right decisions for you and your life. Classes are developed by women for women. Our classes are designed to help you understand all aspects of personal finance from budgets to investing! They are also designed knowing that as a woman you are busy and don’t have large amounts of time to spend on learning. They are based on real life and real issues, allowing you to feel like it is not impossible to be financially healthy. In addition to free money articles we offer teleclasses, live classes, one on one personalized sessions, workplace training, speaking and specially customized group classes.
