We Are Hiring A Senior Credit Card Editor


Wise Bread is looking for an exceptional editor to help us create the best credit card articles in the world. Our award-winning content is syndicated to outlets like Yahoo, US News & World Report, Time Magazine, and Kiplinger.

The position is full-time, with great full benefits and very competitive compensation. You’ll be working from home but will get plenty of support (and dog selfies) from our friendly and tight knit staff via online chat rooms.

Duties Include:

  • Come up with compelling, consumer-centric credit card article ideas
  • Recruit, manage, and coach a talented stable of freelance credit card writers
  • Write compelling headlines and blurbs
  • Educate writers and staff on latest credit card industry news and regulations
  • Analyze metrics and feedback from syndication partners.
  • Respond to media inquiries regarding credit cards

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2+ years experience editing credit card articles and managing credit card writers.
  • Strong expertise and ongoing self-education on all consumer credit card issues.
  • Understanding of the strict compliance issues related to credit card content.
  • Ability to write friendly-sounding, easy-to-digest, credit card articles. Ability to teach writers to do the same.
  • Detail oriented with a passion for accuracy.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Four-year college degree with formal journalism training and/or degree.
  • Familiarity with SEO, affiliate marketing, A/B testing, click tracking, and similar tools.
  • Experience with media appearances or relationship with top news media outlets.
  • Working knowledge of AP style, html, and online content management systems.
