How hard can it be to pick a hotel credit card? With most airline and hotel programs, you get your choice of one or perhaps two slightly different credit cards, both issued by a single bank. But Hilton has a different way of doing things, as it offers no fewer than four different credit cards from two different issuers.
Let's take a look at these cards and see which one is right for you.

The Hilton HHonors Visa Signature Card from our partner Citi offers 6x points on hotel stays within the Hilton Portfolio, 3x points at supermarkets, drugstores and gas stations, and 2x points everywhere else. Other benefits include Silver status with the Hilton HHonors program, and Gold status when you complete four stays within your first 90 days of account opening or when you make $20,000 or more in purchases each calendar year. You also get an annual bonus of 10,000 Hilton HHonors Bonus Points at the end of each calendar year when spend $1,000 or more on stays at Hilton Portfolio hotels. There's no annual fee for this card.

The Citi® Hilton HHonors™ Reserve Card offers 10x points for spending at Hilton Portfolio hotels, 5x for airline and rental car purchases and 3x on all other purchases. New cardholders also receive two certificates good for one free weekend night at select hotels after making $2,500 in purchases within four months of account opening. You also receive instant Gold status and can earn an upgrade to HHonors Diamond status when you make $40,000 or more in purchases each calendar year. You can also earn an anniversary bonus of one weekend night at select hotels after spending $10,000 on purchases during a cardmember year. There is a $95 annual fee for this card.
If you don't stay at Hilton hotels very often, then you are probably better off with the entry level card with no annual fee. For more frequent Hilton guests (and travelers in general), the Hilton HHonors Reserve Card from Citi offers valuable benefits and services that can be enjoyed to the fullest.
