Sea Monkeys are brine shrimp. Some companies that supply the classic Sea Monkey have bred them to be larger than the average brine shrimp and can reach a size of up to one inch. Also, the Sea Monster which is a triop is another fairly easy pet but they have a very short lifespan. The triop has three eyes and looks like a very small horseshoe crab, although some species of triops can reach a size of 4 inches. Both of these animals are "wild" and the triop's natural habitat is a rainwater pond. I am not aware of any living creature that does not have a direct lineage to a wild animal.
I lost interest in New Year's Eve years and years ago, for one simple reason: When I was young and full of energy, I worked a few years as a bartender. Absolutely guaranteed to make a person despise New Year's Eve.
You are much more ambitious than me. I have largely skipped New Year's shenanigans ever since my parents insisted on going to stand under the Space Needle to watch the New Year's fireworks. These are two people who constantly complain about Seattle's weather, and yet somehow thought that standing outside at midnight in January would be fun.
That was all the celebration that I could handle for at least the next ten years.
We use "sock babies". Simple and cheap to make and they last for hours. Buy a new pair of large white tube socks. Put one inside the other and fill with plain white rice (uncooked). Sew up the end and heat in the microwave for about 3-4 minutes. Can be used over and over for years.
We just moved two weeks ago. We were fortunate to have access to both houses for nearly a month, and they are only 6 miles apart, so we were able to do a LOT of small-stuff moving ourselves. Our initial estimate for the move was $1800; by the time the actual move happened, the total charge was $1300.
One thing that helped a lot: the moving company we used offered used moving boxes for free! We just had to go pick them up. This saved us lots of money. If the company you are using doesn't have this same deal, you can always ask for packing materials on your local Freecycle list.
Great tips. We had a scary incident a few years ago on a cold November afternoon. We left in the morning for a place 60 miles away and the weather was good. The 25 year old Peugeot we was driving still had it's all weather tyres on but a massive snow storm hit and we ended up having to slide down a massive hill!
but it's not a credit card it's a debit card. and it's just a piece of worthless plastic until you activate it. it's worth nothing, if you don't activate. all they have is your name and they just put it on a piece of plastic. they don't know any information that could get your identity stolen.
U can blame it all on your greedy politicians who have allowed all of our manufacturing to leave this country. Next u can blame the greedy corporations for trying to imitate cheap goods. I feel that manufacturing in the USA has seen its better days.
Cast Iron. Put in the effort to learn how to use it and two skillets will make most other cookware obsolete. I have a very small kitchen (9x9) and feed a family of 6 with the following cookware:
1 10" cast iron skillet
1 12" cast iron skillet
1 6qt stainless steel dutch oven
2 3qt sauce pans
That's it. Doesn't take up much space and offers tons of options.
I'm just amazed that the government refuses to concede there's structural deflation. It's like "nothing to see here, move along". These numbers are shocking.
The three examples you mentioned all apply to us, so we will wait. I usually try to finish the taxes before mid-February, since my husband and I spent the end of that month celebrating our birthdays:) We aim to get the smallest refund possible, although I didn't calculate the college tuition credit, since this will be the first year it applies for us. We thankfully have not been in the position of counting on the refund for many years. I still think it's odd that I am the queen of the tax return, when my husband is the CFO of his company and I'm math-phobic! How odd am I that I understand the tax forms and enjoy filling them out?
Freh, I'd guess that paying $100 extra per month on the larger loan will make the biggest dent in the loan balances. I'd need more information for a more precise, accurate response (such as the terms of the loans and how many payments you've made to date). Generally, there's a greater advantage to paying the higher rate loan plus paying more overall each year ($1200 vs. $455 per year), which in your case is paying the extra $100 per month.
By using a piece of equipment to get a loan, the equipment is collateral and the lender can take possession of the collateral if the loan goes bad. The types of companies that I was referencing were traditional banks (or possibly savings and loans and credit unions). There may be other types of lenders; loan covenants would be key here to make sure that calling the loan wouldn't be triggered by some arbitrary event.
Check with your state's attorney general or its regulator of commerce, and/or Better Business Bureau to see if there have been complaints or issues to consider.
I usually do my taxes in TurboTax ASAP, so I can file and get my refund my Valentine's Day. Except that last two years I've owed big time, to the point it is good I made an estimated payment in December. I just did that, and I'll adjust my exemptions one more time. I wish I could file sooner.
If you are still bothered with the substitutions, you should not use xantham gum and buy yeast without sorbitan monostearate. They can both be cultured on corn. (King Arthur sells a brick of Red Star Active Yeast item # 1260 that doesn't have sorbitan monostearate)
livecornfree.com or .org has more information on code names for corn. Really that has been the hardest grain to eliminate because the labeling in the US often doesn't disclose the source.

I love this post, particularly that you note the importance of neighbors and community. There are some things in this world we just can't throw money at to create solutions, and I think we have forgotten the importance of strong social networks (no, I don't mean of the digital variety in this case!) in meeting needs and providing value.
To avoid corn, use almond meal rather than masa harina and if you can't handle sorghum or soy, mung bean flour works in the flour blend. The corn meal helps keep the dough from sticking. I'm going to try this today with just the parchment paper. If it sticks to much I'll try a little nut meal.
I've been learning gluten-free due to grain intolerance (except rice) and so far the secret has been to think of what the flour is supposed to do. Good luck
I got rid of all but 3 plastic containers. I bought a 6 piece set of glassware to replace them and it has worked wonders. Less to clean, and we actually use all of the pieces.
I actually have quite a bit of cabinet space which I just like to leave bare. I have no need or desire to fill them up.
I bought a small toaster oven so we don't have to use our big oven for baking small meals. Personal pizzas, fish sticks and garlic bread fit in there perfectly.
No one on this site should share that kind of information. Even the country you live in. I am close to the States, but not in them. But I can not share that kind of info, sorry. We can discuss what ever you like here. Maybe you will have a question someone has not asked yet. I would not want them to miss out on the knowledge that could be shared.
I used to have a similar setup, where the kitchen was directly across the living room. I wanted to have a small kitchen area that was separate from the living room, so I mounted a long curtain rod from the ceiling and put up four panels of long curtains. I put the futon on living room side in front of the curtain. On the kitchen side, I placed a baker's rack against the curtain. I was able to have a prep space and an area to put canisters, etc.
Yes I will be affected by this delay. I am in desperate need of my return and this will really hurt me. I am considering filing without my schedule A and then doing an amendment after April 15 because I can not wait until the end of February to file.

Actually my only pan is a 10" cast iron pan. I plan to get a smaller one also. It forces me to use it, remove the food and wash it right away.
