I would like to learn more about how it would cost to finance a "tiny house" life. Also, I'd love to learn about how to finance a non-profit organization.
You hit the nail on the head with Reason number 4.
Using coupons takes TIME! It takes time to save them, organize them, clip them, use them, etc. Life is short! I'd much rather use that time doing something else... namely things I ENJOY doing. Saving a few pennies or dollars at the cost of the time involved is not worth it for me.
However, if you DO enjoy using coupons, and if what you save using coupons is a large percentage of what you spend, I say go for it and more power to you.
I love the idea of a staycation. When gas prices were super high a couple summers ago, everyone was doing them. The kids think it's special when we camp out in our back yard so that's our special no-cost fun thing to do!
Warm black coffee or tea mixed with lemon juice works like a charm for me since my childhood. And chewing a hand full of fennel seeds with very little sugar helps with stomach cramps and diarrhea. Where as eating lots of white bread helps with food poisoning.
That is absolutely true, Matt! I like to find ways to save money but also increase what I bring in so I strike a good balance of both. Thanks for pointing that out!
I have used the drain clog removing tool Drain-FX. When my kitchen sink drain clogged with food, grease and hair, I initially tried removing the clog with plunger, but nothing happened then I also tried using the chemical mix Drano which was giving me a headache but that too didn't work out then I googled and found this product Drain-FX. It is so easy to use since it comes with a step by step instruction manual, all you have to do is connect the tool with your tap in the sink and let go the tap water, the tool then creates a pressure washer effect which flushes out all the clog that has accumulated in the drain, within minutes you will be able to see the water gushing out of your drain. I also bought one for my sink (Drain-FX Sinks) and another one for my tub (Drain-FX Plus). You can buy them from their website drain-fx.com). There is no chemicals, no plumbing charges and no mess or complications in using this tool it is so simple and easy to use.
Thanks,
Gabriella
I would like to learn which type of accounts are the best to draw from in retirement. Is it the tax free Roth, or the taxable 457? Does it make a difference if you withdraw for a home? I have a little under 8 yrs to go!
It is very problematic to state "scientifically proven" in your headline and not site a single scientific study, scientist, nor a reputable scientific journal in your article. Authority Nutrition (notwithstanding its ominous title) even has a disclaimer that it's not offering any medical advice and its CEO and major content contributor is a "medical student and certified personal trainer" ie not a scientist. And no offense to Ms. Scott below, but her expert opinion is not based on her research but credited to the opinion of a chiropractor (read not a medical doctor nor a PhD in any related field) and who makes a living selling anti-gluten rhetoric! Even someone who is an avid supporter of naturopathic medicine should be skeptical of this obvious bias and conflict on interest. I'm very disappointed with the quality of this article. We have an obligation to uphold journalistic standards (proper citation and fact checking) and scientific standards if claiming such.
Since virtually most people today who are approaching retirement have not saved the amounts of money that experts say are required, how about an article that outlines the ways people who haven't saved enough (according to these experts) can still manage a decent retirement without having to go back to work pushing shopping carts for WalMart. Lots of people forced out of work who had to take early Social Security could gain from learning about different strategies for living well and happily on a bare bones budget.

Both investing and reducing household costs would be good. Effective strategies for saving for a house or another big purchase would be helpful, too.
How to invest? Money market, cd? anything new?
