great list, and some other good advice from the commentors. (Go Zip-it) Usually the first thing I try i teh boiling water, if that doesn't work I'll clean the pipes.
Damien, I've been told by two Costco stores in the Minneapolis, MN area that they do not have to give optical services to people without a membership. Could you give a Federal Law reference. Staff is adamant that they only need to offer liquor and food services without a membership.
8) Using cheap, generic laundry and/or dish soap. You end up having to wash the same items again in order to get them clean. And a doctor's visit along with a Rx for the skin reaction costs more than a reliable, non-toxic soap brand.
Thanks so much for mentioning my post on items to sell from home. I worked hard to make the list as inclusive as possible to give everyone a little inspiration. :)
I use Discover only for the 5% purchases. You only have to sign up one time per quarter, use the Discover on the special categories, only if you need them, and collect your cash. Occasionally, I buy something that is not in the category, thinking it is, or just forget and buy something in the category on another card which pays 2% back. No big deal. Over a few years, I've got a few hundred dollars, so good deal for me.
I wonder how Discover makes money doing this. Perhaps they are banking on us using the card for everything? Or they have deals going with these categories of merchants?
I do high interval intensive trainning (HIIT) at home. If I'm brave enough i'll go running around my block. On the weekdays I go to my jujitsu class and train there.
We live where it's warm enough to be outdoors at least some of the time. So we do our usual walks, sometimes during the day, instead of the evening. I'm considering getting a rebounder to use when the weather is bad. We don't have space for a treadmill, so this might be a good option.
Bribes, you can write them off in the U.S. as well, except they are illegal in the first place. So, if you can show that in another country where you do business, it is a normal course of business to bribe otherwise you are out of the game, you are allowed to write it off as a business expense. Very little people do that, but it is possible.
I take the dog for a walk, play with the kids in the snow, go sledding or ice skating...anything we can when the temp is warm enough to get outside! It gets hard when we get these below zero temps!
Medical tourism or health tourism is the travel of people to another country for the purpose of obtaining medical treatment in that country. Traditionally, people would travel from less developed countries to major medical centers in highly developed countries for medical treatment that was unavailable in their own communities
Point #1 cannot be stressed enough. If you want to truly enjoy your vacation, have all your projects tied up before you leave. There is nothing worse than having your open ended projects and to-do's looming in the back of your mind while laying on the beach!
In my case, I sometimes get gift cards from survey rewards. I prefer to cash out my rewards for PayPal or Amazon credit if possible, but a few sites don't have those options. Also, sometimes you get a card as a gift, and even if it's not what you wanted, you'd rather use it than let it go to waste.

Almost none of these things are fun

I live in Florida so it is still nice to get out and walk every day.
You missed noting Automotive fluids of any kind, oil especially. Never compromise the quality of fluids needed in your car.
"You can be a millionaire; until you start living like one"
However, you want nice things, buy used items and always look for deals.
Also, the richest people I know don't give a damn about showing off their money.
Do you cook the meet? Also, for your 75lb dog, how much do you give your dog per day?
I lift weights at home
I use exercise videos in the winter.

These activities really helps in quitting smoke as they are triggers for dopamine

Our apartment complex has a fitness center.
I bundle up and walk at lunch break.

Alas, here in New Jersey we aren't allowed to pump our own gas, so that's not an option.
