I have two goals for 2015. (1) Save $1,000 extra toward a week's vacation in 2016. Our daughter and son-in-law will vacation in Hawaii next year and want us to go with them (we help with child-tending, which we love, and they pay for our lodging). (2) Move more. My target is 30 minutes of moderate intensity exercise, 5 times a week. I actually started in mid November and have worked up to this from 3 days a week. I've put in place some measures to help ensure I reach this objective. I track activity on the American Heart Association's free activity tracker and I check in with a wellness coach from Kaiser once a month (up from once a week for the first month). Now I need similar accountability measures for the savings objective!
My main goal is to not procrastinate as much. It has been a problem since forever and I'd like to actually stop doing that for longer than a week or two this time. ;)
Increase the amount of principal paid on our mortgage from last year by 10%. We already are paying a significant amount extra but the additional would really raise the bar. :-D
I want to save more money this year. I'll be turning 25, so I really want to get an IRA opened before then. I know I should have opened one before this, but I definitely want to do it now.
Great advice and tips. I soak my jewels regularly in Windex-at least once a week and then use a toothbrush and the hottest water I can get. Nothing beats a professional cleaning though. The difference is amazing!!!
Thanks for the great tips. Your findings are indeed very crucial and best suited during traveling. Organics such as fruits. veggies and milk are enriched with vitamins which is beneficial for health. I really like your article on how to save money on organic while on holiday travel. Really the ways are very clever and money saving.
I went through your preferred articles and honestly very impressive lines. Your emails mistakes are very insightful and normally people make such type of mistakes while creating and sending email. The self-development facts are really useful to enhance our personality. It described the impacts of positively and perfectionists on your health and to what extent it hampers us.
I have three categories:
1. Personal development aka be a better and more productive person
2. Financial growth - more savings and investment
3. Freelancing - more clients=more income
My theme for 2015 is 'mindfulness' which is something that impacts many aspects of my life, including spending, eating, and keeping emotionally healthy. Focusing on this theme helps me slow down when making financial decisions and helps me figure out whether or not I really 'need' something or if I'm just being impulsive or reactive. To hold myself to this standard I found an inspirational quote and made it my phone screen saver. This means that I'm constantly reminded of my goals throughout the day which keeps it top of mind.
1. Get rid of this 20 pounds of divorce fluff by getting back to normal meal portions.
2. Continue to work towards my goal of becoming debt free by 2018.
3. Find love.
4. Continue to have fun trying new things and traveling new places.
Gosh I considered being a surrogate once but then got freaked out by potential health effects. No way I'd be willing to sell a kidney! (Though I do wish the US had opt-out organ donation rather than opt-in to help cull these kinds of shortages.)
My goal is to use Yoga to lead a healthy life with the help of YogaMihi..

My goal is to add to my emergency fund.
Lots of goals, but the biggest one is paint our house, including all the trim and doors from cream to white.
Get rid of 10 things a day!
