Editor's Note: Congratulations to meg, Jess G., and Zach for winning this week's contest!
For most people, music is a part of life they can't live without. Almost everyone has a list of favorite songs and artists. As a result, many people buy single tracks from iTunes or head out to their local music store to get their favorite artist's latest cd. However, there are people who opt to just take advantage of free listening options and utilize the radio, YouTube, or Spotify.
How do you buy music? Do you use iTunes? Do you buy actual cds? Or do you opt to just listen to the radio or listen to music through sites like YouTube?
Tell us how you buy music and we'll enter you in a drawing to win a $20 Amazon Gift Card!
We're doing three giveaways — one for random comments, one for random Facebook "Likes", and another one for random tweets.
If you're inspired to write a whole blog post OR you have a photo on flickr to share, please link to it in the comments or tweet it.
Note: Due to recent changes in Facebook's promotions guidelines, we have restructured the entry format of our giveaways.
Good Luck!

I typically buy on iTunes or use Amazon.com. I'll also buy CDs at garage sales and off of Half.com. for my music.
I buy my music on Amazon and store it in their cloud.

I purchase CD's 99% of the time. I may listen to a bands songs online to determine if its a sound I like, however I believe that I should do my part to enable bands to make money or at least break even. If everyone continues to share music and/or download tunes by various methods that negate payment to the bands, eventually there will be very few new bands. FYI, I have no friends or family in the entertainment business, I just listen to the interviews of more established bands.
We buy our music by supporting our 2 local public radio stations and listening there.
I buy my music through Amazon, mostly; both mp3 downloads and CDs. The firefox extension invisible hand lets me know if the CD is selling elsewhere at a cheaper price and if the combined price plus shipping is less than Amazon by a significant amount, I'll stray. Otherwise, I get points on my Amazon visa.
I don't buy music. I don't have much money available for luxuries, and I choose to spend it on internet access rather than music or cable. I listen to the radio when I want to hear music.
I liked you on FB.
Thanks.
I usually buy my tunes on Amazon either downloads or entire CD's.
Thanks,
Debby
I buy off of amazon.com. They always seem to have a deal running like the $0.99 Lady Gaga album on the release date and $3 new releases especially during the holidays.

Mostly, we'll buy individual songs on iTunes, with gift cards we've received. If there's a whole cd that I'm interested in, I'll typically get a used one on amazon. A lot of times, I can still find shrink-wrapped/new cds listed in the used category, so it still saves me money.
I usually listen through YouTube.

I flip between Amazon & iTunes. Usually Amazon when they have an album for $5; iTunes when I want an individual song. But I just realized it has been a few months since I purchased music: Thank you, Pandora!
I'll use amazon mp3 nowadays. Cheap deals are going on all of the time. Great alternative to itunes.
I have liked you on facebook!
so far, i've only bought on amazon.
