Thanks for pointing that out, Fitch. I don't use the optional ingredients, but I'll add a note.
Paul - It can be a tough transition. But I think you're probably better off if you are at least a part-time vegetarian. Assuming no tainted spinach is consumed or anything. :) I have to go fully vegan or I will end up replacing all of the meat I used to eat with cheese.
Don't forget that that optional Worcestershire sauce is probably made with anchovies-- decidedly not vegan! I can't find veggie Worcestershire sauce anywhere 'round here in Seattle. Have you?
My wife recently became vegetarian after visiting goveg.com, which is a very powerful site. And after reading Fast Food Nation and Omnivore's Dilemma, I feel I will be joining her soon enough. Although I still can't resist a good burger or chicken burrito. Shame on me.
People who read the actual blog post will note that the recipes are for peanut sauce, not for gado gado (Indonesian salad with eggs). Gado gado is mentioned in the story, and the non-vegan aspect of it is mentioned. Gado Gado is merely one item that you can slather peanut sauce on top of.
You can turn your iPod Nano into an iPod video by loading Linux software onto it. I'm not brave enough to try it, but just search the web (or YouTube) for Linux Nano and you'll see the results. Quite impressive. Games, videos, home movies all playing on your little Nano. As Borat would say, I LIKE.
And I should clarify. Indeed, peeps are not in human form. But anything with a sort-of face, I assign human emotions, including stuffed animals. Perhaps this doesn't qualify as anthropomorphic, but I can't think of a good word for it. If you know one, please do tell me what it is. Would "lifelike" be a better term, even though Peeps don't REALLY look alive.
Chickens probably experience a limited range of emotions, but I take one look at a Peep and think "He knows I'm going to eat him. And he's scared of me."
My mother was an apt mgr for 25 yrs. The mgmt firms she worked for expected her to try and keep as much of the security deposit as possible. They have flat fees for the different items so that's why they may charge $40 for cleaning the window sills.
One area they always looked at and charged people for was if the floor under the refrigerator wasn't cleaned. Now who would think to pull out the refrigerator and mop the floor? My mom agreed but said they were told they would check that and charge if it wasn't clean. Other areas are tops of closets, window sills and the storage shed.
So to protect yourself, get a copy of the move-out check list so you can make sure you've covered everything.
Unfortunately, more than likely they will figure out something wrong so they can keep all or part of the money. It's the manager's job.

Pardon but last I checked peeps are marshmellow ckicks not marshmellow people. :p
Washing them in the washing machine & drying them? (My microwave died, I initally was upset & thought about replacing it, but now I don't miss it one iota! Viva la toaster!)
And they mean a lot to me. I know this article won't get the mega hits of something like my free drinks post, but this is perhaps the most important post of my short blogging career. Thanks for the readership, it's really appreciated.
Way to find that info! It's remarkably difficult to find stuff for LA - it seems like local news sources are often the best information sources for this kind of thing.
Happy filing! And don't forget that today is free ice cream day at Ben & Jerry's.

We were linked in the Foreclosure blog carnival, hosted by The Real Estate Forum. Thanks so much!
You mean that "Trump Ice" is not actually the best water in the world? How dare you! LOL

If the metal overheats, it can cause the wood to catch fire, so be careful of that. I just pour boiling water over mine.
Fantastic post, Paul. Hope you get that tv soon, with time and budget willing, of course ;)

This is one of the finest articles I have ever read on this or any other personal finance blog. Well done.
No-one wants cheese sandwiches three times a day.
Um, this is news to me.
