I think I like Memorial Day the best. My birthday is in late May, too, so I often get a 3 day weekend to celebrate. I also love that it feels like the unofficial start of summer.
I just got the same card from them in the mail saying it can be use for financial aid ect. Witch i thought was odd because i need financial aid for college? So what you intiled is they are a fraud? I havent actived it, but they dont have any access to any of my accounts ? Correct?
Lowes is actually firing assistant store managers and department managers to save money. Talk about building your career here don't do it. It is not a secure job. I thought America was about creating new jobs and with the new year many Lowes employees will be out of one. Maybe they should cut the store managers salary and CEO. People are worried and have anxiety putting out resumes because they now fear they are going to lose their job becasue Lowes wants to save money.
My favorite holiday since childhood is Halloween. I loved trick-or-treating with friends after dark. I got to dress up and pretend to be someone/something else and got rewarded with candy! What's not to like?
Christmas is my favorite when my family actually comes together (there have been a couple years lately that everyone has "done their own thing"). All the decorations are fun, as is the gift-giving.
I have never heard of this company and did not apply for a Debit card so it went strait to the shredder...I did not know who they were and certainly would not send my direct deposit info to them???
Hands down the winner for me is Thanksgiving. It is a time of reflection upon all of the things to be thankful for such as health, family, and abundance. Every year I am thankful that my life is not a struggle. I have ample housing, food, clothing, finances, and good fortune. It is one of the few holidays that hasn't been perverted through monetization (sans Black Friday) and consumerism per se. It is a time of extended family visits and not typically an eat and run event. This year I spent almost 9 hours at my brother in law's house lounging, eating, watching tv, playing games, and generally enjoying my family company.
Only 5 things? I could make it 500000 things. There is actually no reason at all to use debt creating credit cards. Banks via PR say it's faster, more secure, cheap and more convenient to pay with plastic. Guess what. In reality maybe only the last statement can be true for some people, unless of course you are in the country which forced cash free surveillance state on their citizens and even there it's not secure nor faster.
I cannot make my Sony DVP-970 portable DVD player region-free. All I get is a message: "playback prohibited by area limitations." (I've been buying concert DVD's from the UK and Japan). Please help...
Not that impressive. Using inheritance to pay off debt isn't courageous or even a sacrifice. It's free money.
And, when your job title is CFO or CEO and you're making $150k a year, it's even less so.
Christmas is still my favorite holiday, with Easter following close behind. Of course, I've always been partial to St. Patrick's Day, too, since it's my birthday!
I like the concept of New Year's Eve and Day: a celebration of the past year, and the anticipation of the one to come. That "fresh start" feeling is nice even though I rarely stick to any resolutions. But I also enjoy Halloween (for the scary movies and creepy decorations), Easter (for the candy), and Labor Day (usually the best weather holiday and near my anniversary!).
No one in the US "owns" their home. Pay it off by the time you're a senior, then not be able to afford property tax...then you'll see who had owned it all along. I'm not against paying for my part, but there should be adjustments to "owners" who have proved their worth of paying in. What a system we have...cannot wait for the collapse and then real life will begin.
I like the Thanksgiving through New Year's Day holidays best...to me, they all seem to go together. My husband and I celebrate them with any of our adult children who are able to be home with us. I do like to celebrate Pi Day and some of the other obscure holidays.
My favorite is Christmas. I love that everyone is just a little bit kinder to one another.

Halloween is a fun holiday - getting to wear a costume, having fun with the kids Tick or Treating.

Excellent advice....will help me to avoid some pitfalls when visiting family this spring.
Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday as it is a very meaningful holiday and got to love the spirit of it !!

Thanksgiving is my favorite - you don't have to worry about gifts but you can enjoy a nice meal and appreciate family and friends.
I love Festivus and the airing of grievances!
My favorite is Christmas. I love the decorations and lights, gift giving, and spending time with friends and family.
