I love being together with my family. I don't get to see them as much as I'd like, and it's especially fun to see my nieces and how excited they are about presents and Santa and the holidays in general. It makes me remember how lucky I am and to be grateful for all I have. Thank you for giving away the gift cards! Happy Holidays!
I really cant avoid the stress during the holidays. I just deal the best that I can. I try to have a list of what I need and shop during sales or online. I make a menu plan and try to have the items i need within the severals days before needed.
Author here: Please try the code again, all one word, all upper-case. I just checked to make sure that it's still working and it seems to be okay.
Sorry about the hassle. If you like, you can e-mail me directly at SurvivingAndThriving (at) live (dot) com and I'll work with you to get this resolved.
As a current teacher, I'll be honest - I don't want half of this stuff. I appreciate the thought that went into the list, but some of it doesn't apply to me, and some of it I just don't want. I already have a tote bag, a water bottle (3, actually), and all the lunchbox accessories I might need. I have plenty of organizational items, and I'm still trying to use the personalized stationary my mother gave me 10 years ago (she bought a rather large quantity - and in this electronic age. most of my correspondence is by email rather than on paper). I have all the travel items I need, and plenty of plants. Bath items are nice, but unless you know my scent preferences (I'm not really the floral type - I prefer more spice-based scents, like peppermint) please don't buy these for me, because I won't use them.
The other items - gift cards, movie night in, classroom supplies, books for my classroom (okay, I don't have a classroom - as a special ed teacher, I have an office, but I can always find a use for books), activity books, and hobby supplies are always appreciated - and particularly, anything made by a student, whether it's a card or something more.
Growing in popularity are the for sale by owner websites that allow you to list your home. These websites are similar to the newspaper listings that have traditionally been used to advertise homes for sale. Since more prospective home buyers are looking toward the internet for finding homes, you would certainly miss out on a segment of the market if you didn't use one of these websites. Several for sale by owner websites exist. You can easily find one by using a search engine. Peruse the different sites and choose the one, or two, or three, that you feel will give you the maximum exposure.
Agreed! I see a cordless drill as a good thing only if you are a long distance for an extension cord to be practical (doing something at a fence or other outside work)
I would also add a good circular saw to this list.
Donna, you are so fab. Yes, I don't always want to always wear thrift shop clothes or eat rice and beans (though there are so many variations, I'm keeping busy.
Toot Toot! LOL)But having frugal splurges and freebies are part of a fun game. Live in the moment, with the Serenity Prayer is my way. Thank you!
I avoid stressing out by taking some quiet time to myself everyday to meditate, take a walk or just drink my coffee in order to center myself and gain perspective.
I've been a fan of Donna's writing for several years. She has a way of giving great advice in a very down to earth & positive way. I've been meaning to get her new book, but have been pinching pennies so hard it isn't in the budget yet. I look forward to reading it soon though. She's awesome!
The color decoder for when bread is baked is not correct. In fact I distribute the bread that you have picture(Homepride Wheat) and I can tell you that the color combination is not correct to that bread. Each company has a different color code. You should check your facts befor you write about it.

I enjoy spending time with friends and family the most!
I enjoy spending time with my family
I love getting together with Family and friends and having a nice Christmas together and eating good food and exchanging gifts.
I enjoy the holiday lights and festive decorations.
I enjoy seeing the holiday lights when I talk a walk at night in our neighborhood.
I just don't get stressed out from the holidays.

I don't want to invest in human misery, perpetual war, and
planet-killing oil. I hope the other companies do well though.
Great list! I'll promote it on my site. Thanks!
Donna, you are so fab. I'd LOVE to win a copy!

I do most of my shopping online and only put up a few decorations since we go to Grandmas house for Chrustmas.
I've been following Donna Freedman for several years and would love a reference of her advice.
