McDonald's is doing free McSkillet burritos with purchase of a medium or large drink during breakfast hours on Lead Day this year. I think they may be doing it the 29th, too.
Runescape SUCKS it has poor graphics, poor customer support and its full of arrogant annoying little kids. Its probably the worst MMORPG out there, the only reason its concidered popular is because its easy to access with no downloads needed. If this game was like the rest and needed a download and a set monthly fee it would have under 1k players.
The best MMORPG is World of Warcraft, i quit RS for this game and it was the best thing i ever did online.
Regardless of what you pick, its still more than you left the house with in the morning-- even if its a goat.
Granted, big money is always nicer, but there is no evil in a year supply of Rice a Roni (frequently given as a parting gift back in the 70's from gameshows).
Personally I plan to work for as long as I can. Maybe in the far future i could think of reducing my working days but frankly i cannot think of a better way to spend my days than working in my projects. (I'm an engineer)
I am making a big cushion for the case where i would be forced to retire but it is not an appealing idea to me.
Maybe I will change my mind once I am in my seventies but the words "early retirement" scare the @@# out of me.
I understand the concern, but if you take cultures after swabbing any food anywhere, you'll probably get something frightful. Our bodies are very good at wiping out infections, which we're exposed to through more than lemons.
I am 18 years old and about to graduate highschool and attend college. I need to answer a question to try and receive the NACo 2008 Scholarship and I don't have a clue where to start and I am aloud to ask a financial expert, can you please help me. The question is "How much money will a high school senior need at retirement, include how much you will need to save each month and at what age will you need to start saving. I would much appreciate your response.
We've been discussing the effect on the local economy here at my house lately. I think it's hard to say. On one hand, I could buy over-priced cotton balls at my local grocery for $4, and keep them in business. Or I could pay $2 at Amazon, and save $2, which would likely be used to eat at a local restaurant.
Another way to look at it is this: I couldn't afford to live in my community without online. There is limited amounts of everything. You can't even buy milk some days of the week! Online keeps me right where I'm at, paying taxes and using the local services of my small town. Otherwise, I might have to live somewhere more convenient.
It's a pretty cool concept, but the chair and bed look awfully uncomfortable... and it all seems kind of flimsy; it looked as though the shelf wobbled a bit when they put it up in the video.
AAA members can have passport pictures taken for pretty cheap. I see that there are instructions from the passport office on taking them yourself, but you have to be very exact on measurements and head placement, so look up the info and be careful and you should be okay doing your own.
Another idea is to stand under a florescent lamp and take a big sheet of aluminum foil in such a way that you can see the reflections in your eye. Take the best photo and save 20$.
I have learned to only "give" money if I do not need and do not expect it back. I refuse to "loan" anyone any amount over $20. I agree with one of the other comments that said if it makes you uncomfortable do not lend the money. I am against lending large amounts of money that is earmarked for something else. I also do not like to borrow money from family or friends. In the last 10 years I have borrowed only from my in laws and paid them back immediately. I do not feel comfortable borrowing money. It definitely can ruin relationships.
I have done this before too with no issues. Even better, I save the edited passport photo at home and can print more out at CVS for 20c whenever I need them. If my parents need some for whatever reason, I can email them the image and they can get it printed where they are (My parents live overseas). I can also print different sizes to match different countries' requirements.
Not to mention I can retake them till I like the result, rather than put up with whatever the store employee takes. One caution, editing out spots or whatever should be a no-no.
Rip out that gross carpet and acid stain like I did. The whole process took less than a week and I LOVE the results. Easy to keep clean (especially with pets and kids) and I know the carpet isn't hiding some nasty dirt, dust, etc. that can keep everyone sneezing. I picked up the materials at a local store www.dcsurfaces.com for like $1 a square foot. Now you've inspired me to re-do the bar stools.
I forgot to leave my name on that last post, this is Courtney I (in case anyone wants to reply to me).
On a side note, to extrapolate from my post above...
This means in the Monty Hall puzzle, if the game show host knows which door contains the money, you have a 33% chance of your door being right. But if he does NOT know which door contains your money, you have a 50% chance of being right.
How wild is that!! Knowledge is a dangerous thing!!
My son has been home-schooled for the past 2 years and he is much more social than many of his peers who are in private and/or public schools. Why is it that we all think the only way to "socialize" kids is to make them spend 7-8 hours per pay day locked up with a bunch of people their own age? Where else does this happen? In the real world, you need to be able to interact with people of all ages, not just your own. I find that many of my son's friends haven't the first clue about the appropriate way to greet an adult. Most of them ignore adults. Conversely, my son looks people inthe eye, greets them, and politely answers any question they may have for them.
Between sports, Boy Scouts, friends in the neighborhood, and weekends at the playground, there are myriad opportunities for kids to socialize with peers.
Warbo, the middle door being chosen the most often is NOT the reason for this seeming paradox. In fact, I would venture to guess the web interface with the screenshot in the blog posting selects a door randomly for the money. That is certainly the assumption in the puzzle.
The KEY to this puzzle is that the game show host is aware of what is behind each door.
Warbo, if the game show host was unaware of what is behind each door and selects a door at random, it happens to have a goat behind it, and he asks you if you want to switch, then yes, you have a 50% chance of having the money behind your door.
But run that scenario a few times. 33% of the time, the game show host will select a door and the money will be behind it! AND THAT NEVER HAPPENS IN THIS SCENARIO. THE HOST WILL SELECT A GOAT 100% OF THE TIME BECAUSE HE KNOWS WHAT IS BEHIND THE DOORS.
THAT is why your door has a 33% chance of having the money behind it.
Think of it like this - instead of 3 doors, there are 100 doors. You select one door. The game show host opens 98 other doors and each has a goat behind it. He asks you if you want to switch.
Now, what's more likely - you selected the right door the first time? Or is it more likely that the game show host knowingly opened all the other doors except the one with the money in it? You had a 1% chance of being right the first time. And that does not change throughout the puzzle.
In this scenario there is just a 1% chance you have the right door - and a 99% chance that if you switch you win!
although I don't think Xbox really lost to playstation because by not including the hd-dvd in the console itself, they didn't doom themselves if HD-DVD lost the format war (as it did). Xbox has said all along that they're looking to digital online delivery of content as the next big thing for HD.
I have done this before at home with photo paper and a color printer. It seems that they accept the photos just fine without a photographer's stamp. The kiosk seems even easier than setting up my own printer for the alignments and stuff though.
My 14 mpg Jeep TJ salutes this article.
I need your gas.
I'll drink it up!

the hard drive is hidden up in the plastic lid casing, there is no cd drive, they use a usb external one when they need to

Hang in there. *patpats*
Look at it this way: at least our minds are now open to new possibilities. ^_^

it is really very cool particulary the colours i love the colour red
That is what your have an immune system for!!! If you keep trying to clean up everything out it will never get its workout.

There's a free website to help you with the cropping: http://www.epassportphoto.com/
I haven't tried it out yet - I've been meaning to do it for a few weeks now - but it looks easier than cropping on my own.

Ha Ha! Touche - I guess that's the price for living in the middle of the ocean in "paradise"!
What confuses me is that the shipping is free from LA to NY, a distance comparable to LA to HI...
