I do have to say that cops to use Coke to clean up blood from the roadways. Atleast in Michigan a guy I know has a couple of buddies in the field and they keep 2-liters in their trunk!
I recently took the defensive drivers class with AARP and got the safe driver discount on my car insurance from them. I think that’s why most of the people go for these driver safety classes anyway.
These are all valid points - thank you! I'm wondering if the frustrations that come with not being able to buy what you want can (sometimes) overcome the benefits that come with having a job that you like a lot.
Hi Paul, I'm Nathan - the founder of Autotempest.com. Just wanted to thank you for this great write-up. That's awesome that you found the site by searching for Shakespeare.. hopefully you've helped increase the exposure so others won't have to! :)
Anyway, just wanted to thank you and mention that you might be interested in my other site, www.searchtempest.com as well. It's a similar concept. It helps users search multiple craigslist cities at once, as well as ebay if they choose, but for anything - not just cars. I also try to present a number of more advanced craigslist options in a more streamlined and intuitive manner. Hope you like it!
Yeapp.. spending too much is not something very wise especially if you don't have much money hehe.. feeling financially secure is also very wise. love this article. Thanks for sharing.
Very true. I loved the part where you talked about simplicity. Simplicity and satisfaction are very important. Being content with or without money is KEY. Thanks for sharing.

Wow, this is kinda funny. There is nothing that would sway me that paying a bank interest upon interest is a good idea. Also you can deduct your property taxes not just only your mortgage taxes. If things were to ever get in a bind and you have to take a loan out of the house you can do so since you have 100% equity in your fully payed home. No Mortgage means that every month those funds could be added to Money Market & an IRA Account and with the current rate of 1.35% in High Interest Saving Accounts that's always a plus. In conclusion there are no cons on buying a home if you have the cash to and putting that money you would a mortgage in your pocket and not the banks' pocket.
Fast food is really not the enemy. Oh the stupidity: I just have to comment on "guest's" post, and I quote...
"The end result of this mass production is a nutrition-less meal"...
Think about that- nutrition-less. There are no vitamins or any of the building blocks the body needs to grow."
I have to scratch my head at your asinine conclusions. Are you even functionally intelligent? The lowly demonized Big Mac provides 24 grams of protein, 30% of daily calcium intake and 25% of daily iron intake. It's not a spinach shake but to state that something is nutrition-less and contains no building blocks? Have you ever read a nutrition label? By the way, I am not recommending Big Mac's as a good food source.
Quote..."There's a huge difference between organic, range-free foods- and one of them is that you're a whole lot less likely to die from malnutrition or e-Coli."
So eating regular produce and meat can cause malnutrition? Wow, are you a scientist? "Range-free"...need I say more. Do you eat a lot of raw burgers? I'm sure your special organic burgers could contain E. coli if they weren't cooked properly.
I apologize for my sarcasm if you happen to be in grade 4.
I really stick with number one. The job that you really like will give you more money than the job that gives you money. Well, having the job that you really like is like not working at all since you love what you are doing. That makes a difference when it comes to passion and practicality. Thanks for sharing this wonderful post by the way.
This is very good advice! I just built a headboard using plans from http://www.knock-offwood.com/ . I made an $800 headboard for $90! Gave me alot of courage and now I want to build sturdy bookshevles.

I've read "The Millionaire Next Door" a number of times. When the parents pass on these adult children are usually screwed. My uncle received heavy doses of economic inpatient care most of his adult life, the few times he did leave the nest he received heavy doses of economic outpatient care. The other siblings were very responsible and received no economic care. This same uncle ended up getting the bulk of his parents estate (a different story) and naturally went through the money quickly. He has a strained relationship with the other siblings, because they refuse to offer any kind of outpatient/inpatient economic care to him. Although he is struggling now, he set in his ways and refuses to change. Parents need to get their adult kids off of economic care quick, before they get to old and set in their ways. I wonder if the parents think about what will become of their adult children when they pass on.

That selection was ingenious!
Wrong on Hotmail. It was supposed to appeal to gays, as 'hot male."

Andrea, you are an excellent writer. Funny, insightful and pretty good with the photos. Keep up the good work.
Bummer about Wesabe. I'd recommend checking out GreenSherpa. They've got some really cool features not available anywhere else.
Thanks for the scrambled eggs post. I was a bit more patient today and waited until the skillet was nice and hot. The eggs came out better I think.
Thanks! Also, thanks for the continued commentary, which bumps the article up in the queue, thus earning me more money!

Maybe your brain can't function on a low-carb diet, but I'm beginning to doubt it ever functions properly at all. Best of luck to you!

Starbucks: It is the name of one of the main characters in the Novel Mobey Dick by Herman Melville. Mr. Starbuck was first mate to Captain Ahab.
