We love the Local version of this that our schools sell for fundraisers! I can't imagine what would be in this one.... I would LOVE some good movie discounts. Its a luxury we don't allow.

What a fun way to celebrate New Yaer's Eve with a bit of history, fright and a generous friend. Plus Mina got dressed up in gothic attire and gave away a bunch of cool prizes including a replica of Esme's bracelet as seen in the "Twilight" movie.
The best coupons are always for restaurants - buy one get one meals and the like. If you're not embarrassed about using them, it's always a steal. My dad won't eat anywhere that isn't in the "big coupon book."
My favorite coupons from these kinds of books are 2 for 1 entrees at "mid"-level restaurants that my fiance and I haven't tried yet. It gives us an opportunity to try new things without too much expense.
After forgetting to pay a couple of bills, I did get myself a desk calendar, when I got a bill I would put it on the calendar, usually a couple of days before the due date, whether paying online or by snail mail. I haven't been late since.
I've gradually come to the notion that one should do this the other way around: First, chose a lifestyle that affords you with abundant pleasure and satisfaction. Then, choose a career that will support that lifestyle (with a bit left over). But, be sure to remember during the first step that an expensive lifestyle enormously narrows down your career choices.
If you need a big house or a fancy car or the latest gadgets--if you need lots of "stuff" in any form--then you'll be limited to careers that pay lots of money. But, if you can buy everything you need for a modest amount of money, then you're free to choose whatever career seems most interesting to you.
The whole concept of living within your means presupposes that your finances are the limiting factor. If you're extremely poor, that's probably true. For the rest of us, though, I think you start hitting other limits long before you hit the financial ones--if only you pay enough attention to what expenses give you the most joy (and start avoiding the ones that give you less).
the best coupons in the entertainment book would be ones for buy one get one free dining out and anything that saves money at grocery stores. my partner and i are 2 poor grad students trying our best to live on one salary, and anything that helps with everyday bills or the occasional desire to go out to eat helps!

I believe they made the tickets something like $7, which is a really good deal considering tickets are up to $10 in our area. We also like to use the entertainment coupons to try out new restaurants - it makes date night a little more exciting - and affordable - than dinner at the same old standards and a movie. The two-for-one deals on museums and other attractions also totally rock.
We don't spend much on Valentine's Day, like most families, we don't need a special day to say we love each other. We usually have something really nice for dinner that we don't normally have and my children make us Valentine's day cards that mean the world to me.
My ultimate low-cost valentine's day was when a boyfriend snuck out of bed around 6:30, to pop a tray of cinnamon rolls in the oven, and flip on the coffee maker. We'd made them together the night before and left them to rise, and I got to wake up about an hour later to the delicious smell of a cinnamony breakfast all ready to go.
There is something very decadent about baked treats and coffee in bed, and what better introduction to pajama-related fun? (Minus the morning breath!)
I can see MC Hammer lending his image to a sleazo company like this, but you'd think McMahon would want to hang onto a shred of dignity in his old age. But what am I saying? Publisher's Clearinghouse?
Have you heard of "gold parties" where buyers set up at a suburban home and the resident invites neighbors to come around with gold to sell? I'm guessing the attendees at these do not get the best rates either. Then again, if you have a couple broken necklaces from the bottom of your jewelry box, you might not be likely to ever go through the trouble to get anything for them if not for parties like that.
If I had gold lying around I would actually be a bit afraid to send it to some company in an envelope - it would be too easy for it to go missing and afterward it is very difficult to provide any kind of information about the value of the contents of the envelope.
So I agree with you - a local pawn shop is probably the best option.
It also seems that a great way to make money with Cash4Gold is to write negative articles about them. :))
I think anyone should go to a local jewelry store and get an appraisal before selling on ebay, craigslist or even a pawn shop. Find out how much gold you have in your jewelry and be informed. It's similar to people contacting debt settlement companies and taking the first offer given to them.
I also just found this great Valentine’s Day cookbook packed full of cherry recipes and best of all it is free. I downloaded it yesterday and I am already planning a great dinner with my boyfriend.

What an inspirational story! No one thinks about divorce when they're getting married, or that their spouse may not live as long as expected. I would consider setting up a spousal retirement plan early in the marriage to be similar to having a prenuptial agreement. You might have a prenup and never expect to have to use it - but you're always happy to have it if circumstances change!
