I received a netspend card yesterday, to someone else's name at my home address. I've lived there for over 20 years, and I don't know the person it was addressed to. It's impossible to talk to anyone by calling the 'customer service' number, so I emailed them and they called me. They said not to worry and to destroy the card. They would not say whether someone had requested the card. It really has me worried, and I can't figure it out.
This is a great article. I was very close to my grandparents and learned so many useful and money saving skills from them. As it turns out, they were also skills that I wouldn't appreciate as healthier than today's alternatives until many years later: make my own food, use vinegar to clean, good old weeding is better than chemicals.
There are so many other takeaways from our grandparent's generations as well. Kids who are respectful rather than sulky or "fresh." Birthdays that celebrate the special kid with a small gift rather than giant extravaganza. Kids who have the skills to move out and survive on their own when they leave high school/college.

I wanted to say you need 3 jobs to buy a home in King county and more specifically Seattle the average home that was built in 1j948 and onward is now about $400,000 and needs a lot of work, there is no more land up there so you pay enormously for a teeny tiny old home, most come from other cities and raze the whole home and put up zero lot line homes...We love the city but it has out priced itself for anyone on a decent income and one can always take their superb rail/bus/lightrail system to get into Seattle and out to the burbs but homes are not too cheap there either, nice place to visit but in our county one can get a million dollar home for little if one is determined..just saying!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
DO NOT buy bottle water on the street! Unscrupulous people have been known to take used water bottles, fill them with tap water and glue the cap on. It feels like you are breaking the seal, but you're not.
Dollar Trees is the way to go, if you on a fix income, because some of that stuff we spent a lot a money on some if we do not use it by the expiration date , it a waste just check the date before you buy. It is no harm to buy at the Dollar stores, especially when you just need something at the moment, and do not have enough money.
