I have been married to a Chinese/Filipino and enjoy the differences of both. Filipinos are generous and compassionate people., and if they are not as cautious as the Chinese...
To me the Chinese culture is so money obsessed, so not generous and in fact, I have relatives that I brought over here that are doctors and engineers that collect pensions in China and live here in Section 8 housing.
My niece tells everyone that if her aunt was Chinese that she would never had come to America. That is so true!
What I think is really important when buying used textbooks is to compare the prices of the different websites. There are so many different sites that offer different prices that you need to get an overview of the best prices to be sure that you can save more money when buying used textbooks. To get the best price I always use Bonavendi.com. It is really a cool comparison site and very easy to handle.
A rock that my dad made me believe it was a diamond, just not polished (and no, it is not a diamond). It still sits among my treasure and it reminds me fondly of him every time I look at it (he passed away since then)
Interesting that you mention wine lowers blood sugar. I think this is false, recently I have had many issues I believe are related to drinking red wine.
Salient points, as a Virtual Assistant I am regularly asked by businesses to provide services to enable business owners to strike a good work life balance. Whether working for someone else or working for yourself, striking that balance is essential. Whilst stress can be addictive it can also be unhealthy!
I remember one year, as a child, my parents ran out of traditional wrapping paper and had to use tin foil. So half of our gifts were in festive wrapping and the other half in beautiful shiny tin foil. I actually enjoyed unwrapping the foil gifts more than the others because it was so unique and what kid doesn't like shiny things? (I know tin foil alone can be more costly than wrapping paper but this idea is super if the stores are closed on Christmas eve night and you still have presents to wrap before morning)
I completely understand what you mean Kirsten. You're right in not going below your minimum rate. The whole point of being a freelancer is being able to get the jobs that you really want.
I was taking a break from work and started dreaming and stumbled onto this article.. I dig for gold (pennies worth!) working from home doing internet tasks for low pay and I thought gee i wonder if i can pan gold? does that actually work? Does anyone survive off panning for gold? Id be real curious what monthly rents would be for somewhat decent lodging in areas that offer panning..
This blog is awesome.

Probably my serger is the best gift that I've gotten and has been used a decent amount as well.

The best Christmas present was an engagement ring.
Now I am going away to do my breakfast, afterward having my breakfast coming yet again to read further news.

My Kindle
i would buy a glider and ottoman as a Christmas gift to me and baby #4 due next year if I won the grand prize, thank you for the chance!
I would add the money to my Roth IRA on ETrade!
I would use the Amazon gift card to buy Christmas presents! Yes! I'm still shopping!
A diamond ring. The value was more than just pretties.
I would use it to take my sister to a specialist for her health problems. $1,000 would cover the flight and hotel nearby the hospital.
I would use the prize money to go to replacing my 15+ year old car for a newer used one. Already debt-free and fully invested in retirement!
I would use it to take my hubby to see his sister in Texas! He hasn't ever been there or spent Christmas w her in over 20 yrs!
Yes, I could use a lot of help in that department, Damian.
The best gift that I ever received was my baby boy.
How often are you swearing that an interview is the only time you are not?
Excellent reading thanks : )

My husband made me a 30-page scrapbook once!
