I'm doing a dual degree program so I can graduate with my PharmD and my MBA at the same time, so working at a retail pharmacy part-time during the school year and full-time during the summer still doesn't cover all of my expenses. I take online surveys using opinionoutpost.com and valuedopinions.com to get amazon.com gift cards so that I can pay for my crazy expensive textbooks. Pharmacy books are NOT cheap at all, so after the semester is over, I sell them back to the class below me or on amazon.com and then I keep the buying/selling cycle going so that I never have to pay out of pocket for my textbooks. It took a year to get a hang of it, but it was well worth it!
I mystery shop, take surveys, do points programs, participate in medical research trials, rent out an extra room in my home for short term roommates or travelers, and sell second hand items such as electronics and books.
I suspect they got my information from me setting up an account with mint.com, and I'm curious if anyone else that received this card uses mint.com to help manage their finances.
I sell stuff I don't need on craigslist. I use swagbucks to earn Amazon gift cards for the holidays. I am currently doing some errand work for an elderly woman. It isn't much but it pays for my groceries.
to me, getting out of debt equals FREEDOM, so that's more than an incentive to me!
People that cannot get out of debt or can't stay motivated are usually prisoners of hyper consumerism. They really have to shift gears and remember that once they are out of debt, their discretionary income has no strings attached. Finally, they can truly enjoy life.
Maybe the problem is one of perspective? Of thinking outside the box, going against the herd? In this case, the herd being the consumer-driven society.
I'll be off the hook in the summer of 2015 or earlier. Can't wait for freedom! :D
i use mypoints, swagbucks and some other sites like inbox dollars or harris polls... then i use the rewards to do my shopping and i shop early for christmas sites... a lot of websites give promotions that basically make what you buy free and no one will know but you
I like to knit and crochet. This is a wonderful way to sell your homemade wears. Hats and scarfs are very popular in the winter. If you can find a local store to let you display for free that is really helpful too. Thanks for letting me post. Leslie
I've sold things on-line to earn extra money and have done on-line surveys as well. When I had more free time I used to do hair not dying or perming hair but mainly braiding or accessorizing hair like with hair clips, ponytail holders beads etc.
I earn extra money by creating decoratively, one of a kind care packages for families and loved ones that are home away from home. It's a special way of saying how much you care.
This article was very insightful. As I was reading the article, I began to think of how I go to Wal-Mart quite often in just one month. I need to stock up on items more often so that I don’t have to waste unnecessary gas.
sweepstakes are controlling my grandmother life and getting all her money. they come from australia and netherlands mostly. Took her to talk to bank manager to hear from someone other than family these were scams. No progress but I did learn it is partly a control issue if you tell her not to she will definately send in 2 more. Convince her she is a smart person that has always had the answers when you needed them. Make her feel needed in ways other than money and keep her busy.Too much time on their hands . Everything has to be their idea you just have to convince them it was.
This article was intriguing. Riding a bike definitely gives you exercise. I was surprised of how many people use the bike as transportation to get to different places especially with their children. I had no idea of the types of bikes that were out there that could cater to your children. That’s pretty neat. My favorite was the long john bikes just because it is more personable when you can see the people that are riding along with you.
