Its amazing how much money you can save by following these steps. Hosting a few nights in can end up saving large amounts of money--especially if you're in a city like New York where a night out can end up costing you $200.
Find out a little bit about the company, in case they ask you why you want to work for them (which they probably will). You don't want to look like a fool. Dress the part. Maintain reasonably good eye contact...but don't stare them down, either. :)
This is a good post, during this recession its a good idea to keep in mind that we don't always have to buy new ones of things that can be bought, cleaned, and reused. Water bottles especially are a great idea- there is absolutely no need to buy a case of waters every time you go to the store. Its bad for the environment and your bank account. And now they have water bottles with filters built right in- so you can have clean water right from the tap and save yourself a lot of money.
My ex husband who earns $450K per year. Stole cable , would not pay for his children to go into events (always claimed they were younger than 12 to get in for free) Declared he was out of work to get out of child support and alimony in court (even though he was earning $450K) (Stole items from my home after we had divided them up) Told his immediate family he was totally broke and could not help out with his aging parents (said he lost everything in the divorce) Would not feed his children correctly when we were married. He now has over 2 million dollars saved in cash in his home. He blows money on whatever he wishes , ignores what he has been court ordered to pay. Always forgets his wallet when he goes out on a date. Lives a extremely high end life at all of the cost of others. I put him through school and he left me with $180K worth of debt. He still treats family like dirt, dates woman and takes money from them then moves on to the next. He dates single Mom's and acts like he is going to help them out then ends up taking them out to eat and leaves them sit with a large bill. Nice guy!
I came to this post while I was looking for uses of Witch Hazel.
When I read this post my initial thought was “What a load of crap!”.
I totally disagree with the post. I have some personal experiences from which I have learnt that homeopathy mixed with natural remedy can make our lives so peaceful.
I was born in India but now I live in the UK.
About homeopathy, I have a problem of grey hair since my age of 4-5. Basically since I started understanding the things I know I have grey hair. At my age of 13-14 I thought let’s find out is there a remedy for this problem. I am talking about 1985-86 here. I was told that there is no allopathic medicine for grey hair in those days.
A homeopathic practitioner told me that there is a medicine but it takes around 7-8 years to completely cure the problem. I had no clue where would I end up but I thought let’s try. The main reason behind me trying is “No Side Effects!”. In around 2-3 years I could see the difference. But after around 4 years I had to stop taking the medicine because I was not able to go to the doctor every week due to other commitments. So, the problem came back. I still have the issue not because of the therapy but due to a mistake by me.
I am person who doesn’t go to a doctor for every silly reason. In the past 8-10 years I have been to doctor for around 5-6 times. Around 3-4 times for the same reason. Please read on. One thing I hate about allopathic medicine is “Let’s try this and if this doesn’t work then we’ll try something else.” And another one is, whether the medicine works or not but there will be some kind of side effect for sure!
Now let’s talk about 2010-2011. This is about homeopathic medicine with natural remedies can make wonders.
I had a horrible skin problem in these years. Not decease but a disorder. The problem was related to dry skin.
I went to the GP, I was prescribed an ointment and I was told that continuous use of the ointment can make the hair to grow really fast in the applied area and the skin may become very thin (some allopathic practitioners can guess which medicine it is! There was a question mark in my mind “Why?”). So, I have to be very careful and should stop applying the ointment after 3-4 weeks. In those 3-4 weeks the problem went away but when I stopped using the ointment the problem came back pretty fast.
I went back to the GP and I was told that the first did not work so let’s try another one. This continued for around a year or so. I was also told that skin problems are very difficult to identify. I thought basically I am being used as a “trial and error” dummy.
Then an idea came into my mind, I called up the same doctor in India regarding any homeopathic cure (that is what I could think of because the doctor in India knew about my body since long time). I was told that “Yes, there is a cure but it will take time to cure”. I was asked some basic questions about my life style, mental status etc (these are the questions asked by a homeopathic practitioner). Then I was told to try the following. Totally natural so no possibility of “Side Effect”. I was asked to mix coconut oil with almond oil and apply on the dry skin area. And the result is, “BINGO”. In a week or so the problem vanished.
I am not a medical practitioner so I don’t want to prove that homeopathy works. I don’t need a million $ either. All I want is a cure to my problem. At the end of the day the cure was delivered to me not as a trial and error dummy but as an individual.
Now readers, you decide.
Thanks.
My best tip for interview is Eyes contact.
Eyes contact is important for the job interview. Its shows that you are sincere, honest and confident.
I think the candidate who try to avoid interviewer's eyes, will not get a job
Payphones are almost impossible to find in my area. But if a mobile plan comes out to over a dollar a minute i say ditch it and get a prepaid cell phone. I am paying 10 cents a minute and only have to add 30 dollars every two months to keep it up which comes to 15 dollars a month, also the minutes and days add up so if i don't use them i don't lose them
As a former Director and Dean of Admissions I applaud this comment. Unfortunately, the media continues to run stories about the high cost of college without mentioning the financial aid opportunities. Many privates give back more than a third of tuition revenue in institutional financial aid alone.
There are two pieces of advice to which all students exploring college options should adhere. First, do not worry about the sticker price. Most will pay far less. Second, never enroll at a college without visiting first.
I have always read about wealthy individuals who take on debt in order to invest the money or use it for an incoming producing result. Instead of paying $95,000 outright for a new luxury automobile, wealthy people will make payments on the car (getting a good annual percentage rate also) and use the 80 or 90 thousand dollars they would have used on the car for investment or income producing purposes. Quite a different perspective than most low to middle class consumers might think.
Debt collectors are parasites. They do not care about the circumstances behind why people don't pay. They convince themselves that most of the people they go after are irresponsible to assuage their guilty consciences. They make money off other people's misery.
Ashley, I am a big fan of tips!! You always find the most informative and interesting articles!!! And of course, thank you for promoting my real estate investing article. :)
Yes! Even with arthritis, I'll take a good manual can opener over modern electrics. If you must have an electric model, you may be surprised to find occasional bidding wars on eBay for stalwart '70s models. My double-edged 1920's Gillette keeps my legs shaved without contributing plastic to landfills or stopping up drains with those aggravating blade covers.
My late father taught me that a hand drill is superior to an electric for working on furniture. Electric drills can split wood, especially on antiques.
Y'all can keep your typewriters, though. I love Bill Gates and Steve Jobs like the brothers I never had, for word processing software, touch screens and sensitive, feather-lught keyboards.
To save on movies, we either rent a DVD, borrow from the library, or pay for NetFlix. Movie cards with great discounts are also great. Some offers popcorn and soda at no additional cost.
Walgreens does it: http://www.walgreens.com/topic/inkrefill/printer-cartridge-refills.jsp
They're not. Which is why I bought the reusable ones. Those are frugal - especially since no coffee is wasted when you make a single cup.

In what world are kcups frugal??
I'm sorry--one question--you don't know how to read a map!? You have got to be kidding about this one!!

Definately look the interviewer in the eye and try not to use "ummmm" or stutter!
Prescription pill should not be divided because equal amount are not always in each half.
Where can I get my ink cartridges refilled??

Pretend that you don't really need the job you are applying for. It will help ease the nervousness. Works for me all the time.
