  • How to Get Paid to Take Online Surveys   11 years 12 weeks ago

There are many ways to make extra money in your free time, but there are very few that are as easy as filling out a couple surveys. A few hundred dollars a day can easily be earned just with the click of the mouse because your opinion counts.

Paid survey companies work with major corporations to organize and provide opinions from everyday consumers. As a result of your valuable feedback, you can earn quick money. Some questions are multiple choice, while others may require some writing. Either way, it is entirely possible with the right survey program to earn and extra $200 a day.

This is not difficult work. If you have a job with a computer, you can quickly complete a few surveys during your lunch break. If you don't mind having a laptop in front of you while you unwind and watch TV at night, filling out a survey or two can be done between commercials.

Pay ranges from anywhere to $5 - $50 a survey, which is typically determined on the length of time it takes you to complete the questionnaire. Once you get bored with those, there are options to get paid to watch movie trailers, and some times you can have a little fun by getting paid to test drive cars.

As long as you are at least 18 years old, anyone can start making money by filling out surveys right away. It's a great way to put extra cash in your pocket and cover basic living expenses. After all, who wouldn't want a couple hundred dollars a day just for giving their opinion?

See if you qualify to join the highest paying surveys program available. Only a limited number of people will be accepted to work with the biggest brand names that pay top dollar. Get your chance to earn hundreds of dollars with paid survey review.

  • 8 Vile Craigslist Scams to Watch Out For   11 years 12 weeks ago

I replied to a free posting for new carpet remnants. I told them I would pickup the next day and was given an address. I searched the address on Google Maps and saw the address was fake but the location was a wooded dirt road. I replied by text asking if I had the incorrect address I could not locate his home and it appeared to be a vacant wooded lot. The reply was "yes it's a large piece of land". My gut said this didn't feel right so my reply text back was "I'm sorry I will need to cancel the pickup as I am not comfortable with that area." The reply I received back from him was "LOL OK".
Now just that reply was scary to me. If legitimate. the person would have offered to meet me some where so I would feel comfortable. Wouldn't you think?

Whenever one of the stores that my husband or I work at have a huge markdown sale on something I know we use, we buy them out. I also only buy generic for most things and try to use coupons on other things that I don't get in the generic version.

  • netSpend: The Story of the Visa Debit Card We Did Not Apply For   11 years 12 weeks ago

Absolutely a scam. Don't call to activate it, shred it. If you put money in the account, they'll take it out as they also have a card, account number and routing number.

Sounds interesting. I have a problem in a rental unit with wasps congregating on the balcony.

My concern is this: will the sweet scent attract more wasps to the area? Nice if I can get rid of them, but I don't want to be inviting any over, either :) Thanks

  • 5 Dangers of Mobile Banking — And How to Avoid Them   11 years 12 weeks ago

I never do financial transactions on my phone browser or apps. Even with https or a VPN to secure your data in transit, if you ever lose your phone, you're in trouble. Once you have physical access to a device, a smart hacker can get into almost anything, unless you're using whole device encryption.

Money is best moved the old fashioned way - slowly.

Try not to drink tap water either. It has fluoride, antibiotics, antivirals, and sometimes heavy metals. Try to drink distilled water and add your own minerals too it (trace mineral complex). You will be surprised, if you lab test the tap water, at what is in it.

Since I live in Arizona, I am able to garden pretty much year round and have been able to grow lots of fresh vegetables and herbs including potatoes, lettuce, cucumbers, onions, garlic, sage, oregano and basil. It's made me more creative in my cooking, too, since I want to use everything I grow. Definitely helps save on grocery costs!!!

I use a lot of coupons every time I go to the supermarket.

  • Ask the Readers: How Do You Save Money on Groceries?   11 years 12 weeks ago

My favorite way to save on groceries is to grow fresh vegetables and can or freeze the bounty to last through the winter. Another tip is to buy "seconds" those less than perfect looking tomatoes, for instance, from local farm stands and use them for making sauces, salsas, sun-dried tomatoes, etc.

  • Ask the Readers: How Do You Save Money on Groceries?   11 years 12 weeks ago

I use to use lots of coupons, but with a recent move to a new city and a newborn, my time is limited right now (and so are my coupons!). So, for now I do what I can using Target Cartwheel and finding deals on Amazon. We're not saving as much as before, but it's what we can do at this stage of our lives.

  • Anyone Can Spend Less for Food   11 years 12 weeks ago

My salary is spent most for my food. I DO REALLY LOVE FOODS. I can't help cravings over foods. Wherever I go, if I see foods I'd love to try it all. So, as expected I don't have earnings yet and one alarming thing is I get fatter and fatter. I think frugality is what I need right now. I should spend less but in a healthy way. I cook my meals instead pizza for a delivery and taking a caralluma fimbriata supplement that suppresses my appetite is very helpful also. Thanks for the ideas though.

  • Make Your DVD Player Region-Free in Seconds   11 years 12 weeks ago

I live in Australia and recently purchased an LG Blu-Ray Disc DVD Player HR925T/HR929T.

I can't remember (I did know once) how to make it possible for my LG to play Region 1 and Region 2 DVDs.

Maybe I should just program once for multiregion (Region 9).

Any tips would be much appreciated.
