Wow, I really never would have imagined all of these things can be covered by homeowners insurance. I always recognized that owning a home came with various benefits but I'm really glad I came across this article because clearly homeowners insurance can be far more outreaching than I thought. I definitely never imagined spoiled food due to power outages, being covered. I'm not a homeowner yet but seeing all this is very comforting, for if/when I decide to become one in the future :)
Costco is a good place to get small appliances and electronics. While you can often find better prices on a certain type of item, (Ie: you may find a cheaper 50 inch TV, but you won't find the SAME 50 inch TV for less.), but Costco is not really in the business of selling cheap products, just high-quality products for less. A digital camera, or food processor from Costco is already vetted for quality. If you have expertise in a certain field, you might find better deals, but if you aren't an expert, it's a good place to get a baseline of price and quality.
If i got lucky enough and won I will use the $1000 grand prize in Hedgeable’s Wise Bread giveaway this holiday season to buy diapers & wipes for a year & what ever remains (hopefully i will use it to buy school supplies for my son next year). Huge thanks for the chance! you guys will definitely going to make one person/family extremely happy & grateful for such generous prize!
This is from the "I'm not frugal, I'm anal" file, but the reason Ivory soap is less expensive is because it has less soap in in. It is a very good soap, but it has air whipped into it (This is why it floats, not because it's so pure, but because it's full of air.) A similar size bar of other branded soaps will actually have more weight, and therefore, more usable soap.
I would use it to get some gifts for my family, especially my mom. she's dealing with a lot and she could use a little something fun in the mail. I'd probably save a lot of it for school books or something too.
Tough one. Since it is an Amazon gift card. I would buy items that would help us save. Things I've always wanted but have had to wait on like a food saver, yogurt maker, and because I've always been wanting to do stamping, I'd look into stamping kits. I'd also renew our Amazon Prime which expires in the end of January.
Know of a way to combine gift cards from several different retailers into one? I have gift cards with balances of (examples) $1.27 to Toys R Us, $3.00 for Wal-Mart, $0.79 to Target; $50 and $5.00 to others. I think they are eight totally unrelated retailers in all. I would really like to just either cash all these out to pay bills or just combine them all into one gift card that is accepted everywhere. Any idea on how to do this?
I've never been able to find an answer to this online, but I use daily contacts since my eyes are prone to infections if I use any longer-term contacts, and I play sports year round, so I can't wear glasses. My question is, how can I re-use the foil and contact cases? I open two every single day, which is a ton of trash over the course of the year, but I can't find a feasible way to reuse them.
Even if you bring teevas or berks, still bring some socks because your feet will be cold sometimes. The key is that shoes are heavy and the less weight that you bring, your back will thank you. Oh yea, bring some real cheap lightweight. I don’t know if I have mentioned that before, Here is another totally formal shoe for you. This time it’s typical heeled one. It may cause you some problems if your work demands spending time walking, because of the high sharp heels, but they will totally complete any formal clothing you decide to wear
I would use it to improve my daughters' sleeping situation. They have bunk beds now, but it's bad. I would get them a daybed with trundle bed, for a much better quality of living. I hope I win. Thanks!!
I would put it towards misc. items for my upcoming move!
I'm a pastor, so my favorite holiday tradition is the huge nap I get to take after I've done all the Christmas church services! :)

Would put this towards my sister's medical. (Stacy)
Thank You for the giveaway…we would you use the $1000 grand prize in Hedgeable’s Wise Bread giveaway to buy our kids a new computer !
I would have to talk to someone about investing it.
Attending candlelight Christmas Eve service; it's a calm after all the business.

I would use the $1,000 to help pay my heating bills this winter and maybe buy a plane ticket to visit friends.

If I were lucky enough to win, I would buy my hubby a new TV and gaming console for Christmas. Thanks :)

I'd use the $1000 to buy the things on my shopping list: a vacuum, some storage bins, an extension cord, and lots of books!
My parents don't put names on the gifts, but a riddle instead. It's a fun way to make us work for our presents. :)
I would buy a new mattress! :)
