I too had a recent lesson. In an effort to save, I dropped collision on my 8-yr old car. My car was totaled when I was hit by a well-insured driver. I was injured, but not hospitalized. My insurance company was not willing to help me get a settlement BECAUSE I had dropped collision. So I had to hire an attorney out of pocket to get a reasonable settlement. Would my insurance company attorneys have worked as hard to make me whole? I will never know. But the true cost of saving a buck on collision cost me a pretty penny in attorney's fees to properly replace a car equivalent to the one that was lost as well as appropriate compensation for my medical injuries. Just something to consider.
I would not agree that a Masters will work for everyone but it would agree that it will work for most, i think the field you are in and your personal life situation solely determines that
We visit family members, and when we get to my family we watch football, play either family feud on the wii in teams or play board games and catch up with each other
I fully agree - I just read your comment after posting mine. It may sound cheap, but we usually do all of our stocking stuffers from a place like the Dollar tree. There may be one expensive ($10) item in the whole bunch. Everything else is < $2.
Per the article on sharing dishes when eating out - my wife and I started trying this and it has worked well for us. With the larger portions these days, we can usually end up getting well fed for $4-$5 each. Not too bad!
I really enjoyed the positive attitude article. I've never thought about it before, but having a positive attitude really does encourage others to lend you a helping hand!
I wasn't really offended myself, and I don't think it sounds like any of the comments I've read sound offended either, but...
Lets just say that when I hear that someone keeps a fishbowl of condoms in their living room, it makes me think frat boy. And who wants to take financial advice from a frat boy? I'm glad the author explained!
It's good to know that there's a way to get cash back on Amazon. Given that Amazon only commissions select categories to loyalty sites, I have a hard time understanding how that's a viable model.
At any rate, we wanted to cover cash back sites that offer more than one store. But I'm always glad to hear of new ways to save.
From what I could discern from research, you are right that needing or wanting more sleep can be a sign of an illness (like depression or another underlying disease) rather than the cause of an illness.
But that doesn't rule out the idea that sleeping too much itself can lead to health problems. So, if you seem to be sleeping too much and aren't sure why, it could be a good idea to find out what's going on or if you are developing problems.
Twisted comments. This is like saying "organic and non-organic are equally nutritious; there is no advantage in eating organic". The issue is how table salt is processed and what is added to table salt. The less processed the better, that is all. You totally miss the point.
My favorite family tradition is watching the Macy's Thanksgiving Parade and have a slow, relaxing day with family.

Why in the world would you ask what ethnicity the student was? Evidently, you are racist.

"Music
Want to know where to get lots of the music you love for free all the time? Turn on the radio!"
Or Pandora, Spotify or countless other ways to get music for free. There is no reason why anyone should be paying for music anymore.

Wow - I wonder how I can slip this article to my boss a la inception style?!?

Wow - some of these ideas are pretty expensive for stocking stuffers... I guess there isn't much in the techie field under $50 though...
One thing I always ask for is Spotify gift cards. These are $10 - $20... I little more manageable for a stocking stuffer :-)

I like the tip about complaining politely. If you're willing to take the time, it can very often pay-off big time!

Must not click Black Friday deals, must not click Black Friday deals...
I like the DIY journal idea - that would be a great gift for my sister.
Wow - I didn't realize some stores would price match up to two weeks after the sale. That's awesome!
Mashed potatoes!!!
The bleach is used to keep the water in the bottle cleaner and keeping it that way. The cleaner the water the best result you'll get.

Stacking cash back and rewards credits cards is always a great idea!
