I am new to this idea of going with a credit union over a bank, and what is driving my concern is the deteriorating economy - there is more and more talk of the possibility of economic collapse, and all of the top banks have unbelievably high exposure to derivatives. But what I want to know is, if the economy does collapse, will credit unions be a much safer place to be? Was just watching a Gerald Celente video - he recommends credit unions.
A great article would be on stacking deals. I can go through Fat Wallet to purchase on Amazon and then use the amazon.com credit card to get another 3%. It would be great to know of all such opportunities.
#10 strikes me as dubious. It is *much* more plausible to me that poor health makes one want or need more sleep than that deliberately restricting one's sleep improves health.
I don't trust whoever picks out the groceries to check that the vegetables are fresh or that none of the eggs are cracked. Most grocery stores in my area average 1 cracked egg per two cartons, and vegetable quality is highly variable, so this is pretty important.

I love spending Thanksgiving with family, but I don't love cooking on Thanksiving Day so one of my Thanksgiving traditions is preparing most dishes the day before in casserole dishes that can be baked the next day with no hassle.
The table was always set with beautiful china. We stopped using it after my mother died 30 years ago. My father just gave me the whole set. I probably won't use it often, but when I do, I'll remember those wonderful Thanksgiving dinners that my mother cooked.
I love the weird canned jellied cranberry stuff so, even if my family is serving real cranberry sauce, they will buy at least one can of the jellied variety for me. :)

It compares the snowball vs the avalanche methods. In my particular case and the way my student loans are structured (i have no private loans, just government....some subsidized, some non-subsidized) it actually worked out that the Snowball method got me to be debt free two months sooner and saved about $80 in total interest paid. So, of course I am happy thinking I get the best of both worlds in that I get the short term enjoyment from knocking off each loan sooner AND i end up saving more in months of payments and interest paid.
So, my questions is...is this (mathematically) possible or am I doing something wrong? I tripled checked my entries into the calculator and my actual loan information. I can't find any other feedback from other people on the internet who found the same worked out for them (Snowball being absolutely better for them than Avalanche method) ...Am I crazy? Hope not!

It's helpful to keep up to date on the terms of service as well as hold Groupon accountable for their deals as you mention. If you happen to buy the Groupon with a credit card, your issuer should also be able to help you get a refund.
I'm surprised your local health department allows this. when i worked in restaurants we had to throw out all the leftover food while our local animal shelters were begging for food. when i suggested we donate our leftovers to the local farmers and animal shelters i was told we couldn't because the health department forbid it. I had customers who would load a mountain of fried chicken or other some other food on a platter, take one bite and make me take it away because they didn't like the taste. It infuriated me for the callous waste of good food on their part and for taking and wasting so much that there wasn't any left for other customers, and causing prices to go up for everybody.
Also, once i went to lunch at a Taco Bell with a teenage co-worker who grabbed a stack of napkins at least 3 inches high, used one and then threw the rest away in the trashcan as she walked out the door. i was horrified at her wastefulness. 2 to 4 napkins per person is plenty, depending on the size and strength of the napkin and how messy the food is. And if you don't happen to use the last one or two, for crying out loud don't just throw them in the trash, they will get thrown away if you leave them on your table so take them with you and recycle them as emergency wipes in your car (but don't take more than you need just to get free emergency wipes!)
How about a unique, fun, board game that the whole family can enjoy? Give your neighbor the Lawsuit! board game this holiday season. It's won 7 "Game of the Year awards! Most importantly, it's fun.

One strategy on eBay is to purchase items that are in the auction format on the site (at a great price) and then list the same item as a "buy it now" accepting offers. If you take excellent pictures and do your research, you can flip items at a profit. The key is to know what you are buying, values and show patience. I experienced a lot of success selling collectibles using this approach. You can also search the "deal a day" sites for great bargains and turn around and flip the item. A crucial step is to research what items have been selling historically on eBay in the completed listings section.

Olive oil comes from plants, but it's not part of a whole food plant based diet. Most vegans use it, though.
