Most people would look at my life situation and say, "You have a lot of stress." But I really don't. I just accept things as they are and move on. And as you mentioned, Concentrate on the Good Things:
1.) I have a beautiful family
2.) We live in a paid for house
3.) We are on track to retire in around 8 years
This article is not telling the truth. I became ill again due to a long standing recurring illness which is now controlled by will never go away. My credit went bad because I was too sick to pay my bills.
I've had an account with Bank of America for years. Their own site says they want to help you rebuild credit, yet I recently applied for a secured card and they denied me one.
Other people have had the same problem with Chase as well even though they are customers of Chase.
I love baking soda! I mix it with white vinegar to clean the tile in my shower---gets rid of mold and stains, and much better than bleach, which breaks down the grout. I also use it to scrub shiny pots in my kitchen to remove stains.
We dine out one or two times a month right now. We really shouldn't be doing it at all, but it's our little treat. We usually use rewards programs or coupons, don't order drinks, appetizers, or desserts. We also don't order anything for our 2 1/2 year old, instead sharing our meals with her. I typically take home half my meal to enjoy as a second meal, too.
Once a month is probably a good guess. Having been raised in Asia, restaurant meals were a rare luxury, meant for birthdays and celebrations. I enjoy intimacy of eating at home, filling the kitchen with the smell of good and sometimes disastrous cooking.
I'm sorry Lucio but you cannot say that Gapbuster are not complete con artists. They reject completed assignments and then don't reply to emails with an explanation.
I would tell anyone to avoid this company at all costs!
I got this card as a gift, as they are now available for sale in grocery stores etc. My friends had loaded money to the card, but it was not activated. I was surprised I had to provide so much personal information for a gift card. Also noticed that the site where the personal information is entered says nothing about the data being encrypted when sent over the internet. Once I had reluctantly given my personal information it asked for me to mail copies of my original documents by a date. Only problem the date was in the past!!!! also noticed that it had already used about $6 of the gift, no explanations given. May be ok for people in place of a bank account, but very inconvenient to use as a gift card. Also, please be cautious in sending your private information via this site, it does not seem to be designed properly, and the issue with the past date showing up means its code was not tested properly either!
We dine out rarely. Cooking at home is healthier and cheaper. Take-out is a better option. Doing it occasionally makes it special. Getting take-out when we have discounts is even better. By bringing the food home, we save on drinks, tips and side dishes.
Personally I don't think the Targed ketchup brand comes even close to the Heinz taste.
Because I didn't like the taste of the store bran ketchup we once bought (cannot remember which store) I mixed it one to one with Dijon mustard.
It may sound weird, but it's my favorite dip now. I use it for almost everything shrimp, chicken nuggets, fries, celery sticks etc.
With that mix I don't think the brand matters a lot.
Although this article gives some good tips on what to watch out for I think the prices they list are like waaaaaay to high. As well when I first clicked the link, I was kind of expecting some tips like on how its important to make sure the taps are all working correctly or a list of things that COULD go wrong in a home and a reasonable way to budget for them. Although it would suck to move into a new home and not have furniture that 'goes' well with the space or fills it fully, they are not necessary purchases and anyone with an eye on a frugal lifestyle isn't going to be like "oh no! this unavoidable furniture expense is going eat up all of our savings!" like doh
We dine out mostly on the weekends, especially when we have a crazy busy schedule. We try dine out mostly at lunch, definitely less expensive then dining out for dinner!
We eat out when ever I get a deal on Groupon.com, DealChicken.com, Restaurent.com, or EatDrinkDeals.com. Sometimes we use the coupons from the newspaper or recieve in our mail. If all else fails & we really want to eat out someplace besides the dollar menu at the fast food joint, I go to our local chinese takeout. There I can get a lunch buffet to go for $6.00. We go to the park for a picnic as there is more than enough to fed the 2 of us, enjoy the river view, Keep on budget and I didn't have to cook!

Thanks for the links! I love tips on finding air-fare deals. The easiest money made is money saved!;-)
the best attitude is to be cool and look happy.

Missing the obvious - pare down your wardrobe! Seriously, how many watches and pairs of sunglasses do you really need?
It's very rare that we go out to eat, maybe around 5 times a year
We eat out about once a week.
We dine out once a week, and often buy one meal and split it.
We only eat out about once or twice a month; we like to keep our expenses down and actually prefer home-cooked food.

Only about once a month - too expensive for a family of four!
I eat out once a week plus have coffee out once a week with friends.

I hardly eat out I'm lucky if I get to eat out once a month these. Now if I have a gift card to a restaurant that's different
