I buy christmas gifts for the same people every year so all year long I buy gifts for the people on my list when they're at a good price. I only have one person left and if I keep track of what to buy people in my amazon cart I can buy them when I have gift cards to somewhere.
I'm thinking a great amount of the nutritional value of the potato is obtained eating the skin. Even mashed potatoes can be made with chunks of potato that still have the skin on. And there's nothing like scooping out the innards of a baked potato while still hot and then putting a pat of butter inside each skin half. A bit later and they are a melted butter potato skin treat, my favorite when I was small.
My son opened a checking account with a debit card 10 years ago when he graduated from high school. I has a lot of perks for the debit card that banks don't offer any more. It might be a good idea to get your teen grandfathered in to some perks, instead of opening a bare bones account

I also am willing to spend a little more to buy the expensive bag of beans at Costco to reward myself for NOT spending as much at the coffee-shop. If I start the day with my own, I'm less likely to purchase a cup in the afternoon.

The point of the article is to show that potatoes can be part of a diet (low glycemic index, high glycemic index, or general smart eating) and that diet helps you shed some pounds. There was no group in the study that had no potatoes so the statement that this study helps disproves beliefs that potatoes cause weight gain is not accurate.
We've started making big jars of homemade vanilla extract and limoncello which should be ready by the end of November. I've ordered the individual bottles I plan to gift them in and created personalized labels. They'll serve as both Christmas gifts and hostess gifts!

2) Putting items in your cart and checking back periodically shows price changes. If you saw on the price tractor that an item six months ago was a good bit cheaper and you are in no hurry, you can keep tracking things to try and get close to the historic lows.

While most jobs in that industry are pretty specialized (from the singers, musicians and actors to the lights, sound and automation technicians) there are also several jobs that are more mainstream. For instance, stage crew on large shows usually come in with carpentry or painting experience, but not necessarily theater experience. Some shows employ bus drivers, physical therapists and accountants to travel with them as well. And there's always management. Very large shows requires people who are adept with paperwork for licenses and all the other headaches that go along with a performances. Some shows even have chiropractors or masseuses traveling with them.
Along that same vein, I work for the circus right now and live rent free on the train and we employ all sorts of different jobs for our little traveling city, right down to teachers and nursery school workers.
Totally on top of it. I keep an eye out all year for inexpensive gifts that actually mean something to the people on my list rather than last minute buys with no sentimental value. I found some weird Russian soda pop for my dad for $1.99 that I know he'll get a kick out of and a weird box of tissues with funny parenting jokes on it for my mom for a buck in one of those Target sale bins.
I haven' yet. I have a pretty small family that likes to keep the holidays simple, so there's not too much preparation required anyway. It's more just about enjoying the time together for us.
I start preparing in the summer - when we vacation, I think of people who might like things as we shop. There are some great deals, and instead of buying meaningless "souvenirs," I have fun buying a few things for my friends and family!

I also just purchased 6 packages of blank notecards for half off and plan to make sets of greeting cards with photos I've taken as gifts for most of my family. It takes the pressure off to get started now!
We'll be out of town for Halloween, so nothing to cover there. We'll be celebrating Thanksgiving & Christmas. We don't need any early prep for Thanksgiving, so nothing going on there.
I have started my Christmas idea list for gifts for the immediate family. And I've purchased one gift that was out of stock near the holidays last year. I'm planning to start shopping on Amazon in October!
Yep. We have 26 siblings, nieces, nephews, other relatives and special friends. I start right after Christmas and am usually done by Thanksgiving. Just in time for mailing. It would be nuts to attempt that kind of shopping fast on our budget. The only things I hold off on are baked goods and homemade candies. Those are done closer to the date and mailed the week before Christmas.
I have a Ortho Dial sprayer, at what rate do I use this on, ie 1 tsp per gallon etc. Also how many square feet will this cover in one mixture (10x10 sq feet?) the writer doesn't say. I just applied this today (9/17/13) so it'll be awhile before I see some results. I live in Chattanooga TN & the temp is around 80 during the day, someone let me know how this works please. thanks
