I feel your pain. Even your own children did not get the memo .... Not your fault. They learned via their environment to take, take, take. Society needs to teach humility more.
That's a excellent idea. I mostly use craigslist to buy and sell video games so the clientele are usually cool, down to earth people. I always meet at large gas stations like quiktrip because there are always people going in and out, and there's usually a cop or two there as well. I never let people meet at my house because I have two small children and my wife to look out for. Also, I started taking a counterfeit pen with me to check money. Not because I think that they have a money printing machine in their basement to scam me out of a $20 game, but because you never know if some of the money already in circulation is counterfeit or not.
The latest book that I read was "Devil in the White City" by Erik Larson. I read it in about 2 days. Very interesting book about a serial killer and architecture.
Has one that has been married over 5 decades, we got a legal divorce so we could get medical treatment a lot less. We were advised to do this by a legal adviser, it's been over 5 yrs. We have other legally each others beneficiary in every way. Our marriage is no different, except for the financial savings. We are committed to each other and we know that God sees us has married, we made a commitment to God, and not the broken government..
My fiance and I got quite lucky in that we got engaged at the end of summer. We found soooo many sales on wedding items because it was the end of the summer wedding season. We got everything we really needed--dress, suit, shoes, jewelry, invitations, party favors, decorations, really everything--for at least 30%-50% off. It's so nice knowing that although our wedding is in May, we have everything already paid for and packed away!
It was a murdery mystery that I read on my Kindle on a long flight a couple months ago. I don't even remember what it was called. I definitely don't read books very often.
I read every day, across many genres and often several books at a time depending on my mood. Yesterday I read a romantic, holiday short story by Layla Payne called "Mistletoe and Mr. Right" as well as part of a non fiction book called "The Art of Mingling". I am also reading "Pretty Girls", a crime thriller by Karin Slaughter. I took a break from that one because, although very good, it's also very intense and I needed a break!
The last book I read was Crystal Paine's Money Making Mom: How Every Woman Can Earn More and Make a Difference, as part of the launch team. SO GOOD! I highly recommend this book. It has applicable lessons for every woman, even if she's currently not in a season of her life where she can pursue a business idea, etc. I'm currently reading Big Magic by Elizabeth Gilbert and A Force for Good: The Dalai Lama's Vision for Our World by Daniel Goleman.
The last book I read was Rediscovering Catholicism by Matthew Kelly. You do not even need to be Catholic to read it. It is a book about becoming the best version of yourself. It is so good!
The last book I read was Bill Bryson's "A Short History of Nearly Everything." All of Bryson's books are superb, but this one was highly educational as well. He's an excellent writer and injects a lot of humor into every book he writes. His biography of William Shakespeare was really good, as was "A Walk in the Woods."
Reader and Raelynx by Sharon Shinn!
twenty eight and a half wishes
