The last book I read was "52 Small Changes: One year to a happier healthier you" by Brett Blumenthal. I am interested in self help books or books I can learn from. This one I bought and re-read every year to keep me on track for my goals.
The last book I read was On Hurricane Island by Ellen Meeropol. This was for the fiction book club that I attend and have been a part of for over 10 years. The author joined us for our discussion!
Payless shoes for $19 last longer than the $50-70 nike. I blow out a Nike in a month or two when the cheapo ones last years. They may not be as comfortable but at least they do not blow out.
Reading "A Field Guide to Demons" by Carol K. Mack and Dinah Mack, which sounds scary unless you know that it's research for my fiction writing. The woman who rang up my purchase looked like she wanted to cross herself.
Wow! Thank you so much for this article! :D A lot of people here in my country likes to gossip and bash other people and I hate it! The noontime shows here keeps on saying offensive jokes and they are very insulting indeed and it is not funny anymore! I have a great feeling that they are talking about me negatively behind my back! I wished they should stop it and don't do it so they won't bully others as well besides me... I've became anti-social and misanthrope nowadays because of the constant bullying and gossiping towards me. People in this country are nowadays gossipy and bad. I only trust my few close friends and family members. I have to get to know a person very well and carefully before I will be his / her friend. I don't like other people for a reason and they should respect my opinion and introversion / loner / different personality! :[
I listen to audiobooks in my car and finish them far more quickly than the books that sit gathering dust on my bedside table. I check them out from the library using the Overdrive app. I just finished Under The Skin by Michel Faber, which I loved.
I recently read Farm City by Novella Carpenter. I prefer reading non-fiction books about real people and real events. I like a good murder mystery too especially if it's a true crime story. I haven't found my most favorite book yet; that's why I keep reading!
Caregiver is a tough job, no doubt. I think it just missed being placed on this list because at least there is some growth opportunity there. Baby Boomers are getting older and there will be a need for skilled people to take care of the aging population. Thank you for the work that you do!
If I had the chance to add one line to this article, it would be to say that any job is better than no job, and that every job is important and needs to be done by someone. There is respect in any work. And I think you raise a very good point that many jobs that seem unpleasant may open a door to something better. There are a lot of entry-level jobs that fit this bill.
Nuhairrx gave the solution for my hair related problems.... super!!!
In the end all the bills are ours so should be the family income.
the last book i read was 'the ocean at the end of the lane' by neil gaiman

Anna Karenina. I like classic novels in general, but this one is a good reminder of how money doesn't buy happiness.
