Everyone of these is me except the drinking to a tee. You say the next 40 are the best I would have to disagree. Your first 40 was youth being a kid learning. The next 40 is more less counting down to the day we die.
I just had brunch with a friend who made avocado pancakes for me. They were so silky and smooth, it was unbelievable. A definite avocado taste, but who doesn't like avocados?
Thanks, Damian, we need more articles like this to jumpstart thinking and discussions about financial independence.
But I'd also like to offer you the opportunity to get together sometime over a cup of coffee to discuss how to hedge those four risks of early retirement.
I've worked with literally hundreds of early retirees, and nobody has regretted the first three concerns. There are two very simple ways to make penalty-free withdrawals from 401(k)s and traditional IRAs, and neither one involves 72(t) SEPPs. As for the fourth: a single-premium immediate annuity... and that "reduced" Social Security benefit might still be more than enough.
I am confused between Hitachi CG22EABSLP and Black and Decker LST136. Not so sure which one I should go with, besides, this site weedeaterguides also provide good reviews for a Toro weed trimmer. Please advice.
Renee, I reacted the same way to this article, especially the notion of someone buying groceries and preparing meals in my house. No one should presume to take over the hosts kitchen just because they are invited to stay. The commenter who does not want to stay in your house would not be welcome in mine.
We normally spend about 200.00 for back to school. We try to watch for sales, and use coupons whenever we can. For Supplies....we start early and pick up an item when we grocery shop each week....that way it doesnt all hit at once!
You are correct in your statement I receive a bonus (bi-monthly) and I do make an overpayment on my mortgage of 17%, my fear is that I cannot make up for not saving enough in the past. At 55 years of age it is an up hill climb, and I know how some times we just do not make enough income.
I don't have to do back-to-school shopping, but if I did, I think I'd 1) start early and 2) keep a year-round stash of school supplies somewhere that I could add to as I saw things on sale. Then I could "shop" my own little supply cabinet.
Good luck to all the students out there. Be nice to your teachers--we care about you more than you have any idea!
I have been shaving with the Fusion for about a year now. Prior to that I always used electric. After hearing all of your suggestions (don't get me wrong - they are good - just time extensive) I think I have decided to go back to electric!
One thing I always check is how much things are brand new. I know lawn mowers made the list but, has anyone had a negative experience purchasing yard tools with engines such as leaf blowers or wood chippers?
It worries me buying used equipment because the seller may have damaged it and not disclosed everything to the buyer.
I am very very much impressed to see this blog.
We've rounded up 15 interesting road bikes for you at a range of prices Under 1000$. It's a very good material for bike frames, both light and stiff, two very desirable features in a bike frame. A good place to start is always a well stocked bike shop where you can view the bikes in your budget and get a good idea of what is offered. Road bikes priced under 1000$ often feature light.
This blog is very much helpful to the road bike lovers. They will get authentic information from this site.
All the formentioned skills are still being used daily by billions of people. A sense of direction is as much about 'wheres the nearest exit' as it is about google maps and gps.
Park assist does not absolve a driver from his/her responsibilities (and in fact limits their abilities as they don't get as much practice as they need to control their vehicle).
Flirting has nothing to do with how much information you have gathered about a person and a lot more about reacting to the moment.
I write (cursive) on a daily basis, making small notes that actually grab my attention instead of a device that has to grab it for me, and then doesn't for whatever reason.
As for doing numbers in your head, it is so much faster than grabbing some device, starting the appropriate app and entering the data.
Most of the search engines can't find what I'm looking for half the time, because most of them are based more on what others have looked for and advertisement (Bing is a great example, but Google is not perfect either).
As for spell checking, if you can't be bothered checking your own spelling it's either not important enough to you or your target reader.
As for virtual presence, unless it' s either not important (to you) or you have a really good reason not to be there in person, you should probably not use it.
And finally, there are a 1001 reasons I can think of why hard copies should always exist, some of which are legal, most are scientific.
Technology is here to help us; Tools that should never lead our lives for us. And they don't take over responsibility or provide us with valid excuses. The problem I have with pieces like this is that in practice, most people drop their own responsibilities in favor of blaming a device, feature or program even though they have very little knowledge on how it works (in a general sense). Park assist doesn't stop the car when a kid crawls under it (unless its from behind), spell checking can't plug holes in a legal document. I like it when the guy behind the counter already has my change in his hand when I pay him, or getting lost in a strange city. I like seeing things I didn't know were there because I took a wrong turn, because I do have a sense of direction (granted, not a really good one), which keeps me from panicking and allows me to be excited...
OR, you can pay the taxes and homeowner's insurance yourself and save money. They get to use your money for free for that year! But if you do it yourself, Make sure that you have control, can save up just what you need, and have a cushion in your own savings account, not the bank's. Most importantly, save up what you'll need for both items during the year. A big surprise bill that's not a surprise since it comes around every 365 days is not fun. Same with the plates on your car and your driver's license.
This is Mrs. Luh. Well to answer some questions the house payment only includes taxes and insurance. Utilities are seperate. We were fortunate enough to have my grandmother watch the kids for free but she is unable to do it now so now they go to my step-mom's daycare. I do get a discount but I still pay 360 a month. Food is 200 a month sometimes 300 just depends. We only buy off brand. My husband will be getting a promotion soon! I got my dream job (an MA in a family practice which is what I have wanted to be since I was little) and get paid 1 dollar more an hour since this article has been posted. We don't want to live paycheck to paycheck forever so we are working our way up. :)
So as Mrs. Luh herself I assure you there was a little more to the story. We had to re-buy everything in the bedroom. We had something unfortunate happen and it was more then a bed. We had to pay for other things as well that I would rather not be in public. Thank you for the comments though. They are appreciated

Definitely Karmin
i don't have kids but my husband is back to school. he shops sales and only gets what's essential.
Agree!

The dire warning about running out of money in 25 years is a bit silly. It assumes zero growth in those 25 years.

I use coupons + rebate sites + cash back sites like shopathome to get the most for my money!

Thanks I love the aviator

I think we all know what a hose end sprayer is but you did tell us what setting to turn it on like 6oz per gallon

Have the winners been selected?

Tax free weekends, and look for items on sale in the months leading up to and after school starting!
