Have a friend who put her late mothers contents of her home in storage because she wants to clean out her own home to add her mothers things into it. That was around 2007. It is still in storage, plus new things added. She is a hoarder who wont let anyone into her home. The amount each month is $350 ( on social security disability and works part time) since 2007. She also oawns and pays on jewelry for years. When she cant make ends meet she trys to borrow mo ey, including from me ( I am on disability ). She just chewed me out for not lending her $75 and said horrible things to me. The friendship is over. This I'm sure is why storage is a horrible idea.
We hash out a mutually acceptable budget every November, then meet if a problem arises. The yearly hashing out now revolves around modifying things that didn't work as well as expected or setting new goals. Most of our bill paying is consistent, but it's taken us years to get to this point. We've found if we see the budget as something to conquer together, it strengthens our marriage.

I was sceptical...but not anymore. It works!!! I sprayed in the morning in the height of the summer. You can actually see where I missed with the spray. Lighter green where I missed. Took about three weeks to see results. Had no idea there would be such a difference. People are commenting. I just gave out the recipe yet again...to my neighbour. Thanks for this. I was at a loss. I also had a company coming 4 times a year to treat my lawn, but it has never looked so good!!! Deep green grass and healthy looking at last.
Do your research! Look for the deals and if you could hold off buying some of the supplies for a little while they may be on sale after school starts. Also, making a list and sticking to it so you avoid buying unnecessary items. And finally, look around the house. There may be supplies left over from previous years that you forgot about.
PLEASE refrain from wearing strong fragrances or using a strong smelling body wash. Many of us are allergic or at least highly sensitive to these, so if you don't like the host's soap, bring your own, but make sure it isn't one of those highly fragranced ones!! GOOD. LORD!!
Great advice on selling an older car. Perhaps I should look into having some quick auto repair work done on my vehicle to increase its value. It would be awesome if I could sell it for more.
I agree with Sarah. And I didn't know that reading to kids for so long could be usefull! Although, I have to say that even know I would really enjoy my mother reading books to me :)

I never realized that borrowers could refuse the escrow account! I complete a financial budget every six months and I know I would be able to my taxes and homeowners insurance on time myself. I also have a very high credit rating--finally, after some ridiculous mistakes in my younger years. :-)

Best back to school money saver: scour your home for previously purchased school supplies that didn't get much or any use last year. Look for clothes that weren't used much. Kids grow so fast, sometimes they barely get a chance to wear them.

(b) I have given much "thought" (yes) to the exptession "I think" and I attempt to use it as unfrequaneky as possible. Why? because we are rarely dealing with Philosophy, " I think therefore I am" is more frquently than not out of its place.
SOLUTION: Use the expression "In my opinion" (very bombastic) or - better "It occurs to me".

(a) "It appears" and "Apparently" are pretty equivalent and it occurs to me that they are one to two dollars worth.
(b) "ostensibly" is different from the plain "It appears" - it contains a shade o f"will to make appear", to lead to appear
In my (modest) opinion languages are the Humanity great treasures, and it pains me to hear people carelessly "massacrating" a lamguage - whatever language.
Accordingly, I endeavour to use in my speech and writin the most appropriate word - and if it is a ten (or twenty) dollar word - so be it.
When I travel around, I browse thrift stores for zip lock bags full of "Office Supplies", often $1 each. I repack what I'll need in another zip lock bag then donate leftovers to our church thrift store for them to resell. I also hit Dollar Tree stores for great deals on Kids supply. I've gone to Newspaper Places to get their "end of the roll" newsprint paper (free) for crafts, art work etc...
Shop during tax free weekend, I just buy what is on the requested school list, and shop off season as well when there are sales on things that schools ask for.
Love most of these but tickets to a dolphin show- no thanks!!! These animals are taken from their families in the wild and starved unless they perform stupid tricks for spectators...

Good points, especially with mattresses because of Costco's very liberal return policy. Take it home, sleep on it, and return it if you don't like it.
Be careful of Tomato Juice. Dogs are allergic. I would go to your pest store. they have a healthy "treat" to prevent yellow spots.

I just learned from a teller at Chase Bank that all coin counting machines were removed from every branch so there is no way to count coins there.
