It may be challenging if you've had several overdraft fees within a short time frame. But if one of the fees was charged just a month ago, you should be able to get your money back.

For side income I work as the nursery coordinator for our church. It brings in a little bit of extra money, that we use for vacations and Christmas money. It's a great side job as I can take my own kids. njfoley at sbcglobal dot net
I recently started a side job working at Target a few nights a week. I picked Target because it's a company I love and I purchase all my groceries, cleaning supplies etc there so the employee discount will go to good use. The location is convenient and the cashiering job is low-stress. The extra income is a nice way to work towards my goal of paying off my car quickly while still feeling secure in my finances. The employee discount saves me money on groceries etc and I even get a 20% discount on my cell phone bill for being a Target employee!
I take a couple consulting gigs every year to supplement my income. I don't necessarily need the money, but it gives me more freedom to do the things I love. Most of the money goes towards vacations.
Agree! I'd like to add that $1m is hardly likely to be enough, largely due to the effects of inflation:
If you're starting out now, then in 40 years time, when you retire at 65, inflation will have roughly halved the 'buying power' of $1m twice!
That means, that $1m then will only 'buy' you roughly what $250k buys you today.
If you use a very generous 4% annual withdrawal rate, that means a 'safe' standard if living in retirement of just $10,000 p.a. ... and, that assumes you don't have to use some of the $1m to pay off your mortgage!
Even if you retired today, at 4% that $1m buys you an annual standard of living of $40,000 but, you have to realize that the market often zigs when it should zag, and you really should reduce that down to, say (& this is not an exact 'science'), $20k to $25kp.a. ... IF you want your money to last as long as you do ;)
Hi, Jim! That is one of my brother-in-law's favorites, too. I agree, the tomatoes are best home-grown, neighbor-grown, or from a farmer's market. Grocery store tomatoes - ugh.
This comes right on time! I'm furloughed once a week because of DOD budget cuts so Fridays are starting to get pretty interesting as each week goes by. Friday used to be "Pizza Night" but now it's leftovers and a movie at home.
I like a tomato sandwich. Fresh cut tomatoes, Bread, Mayonnaise, salt and pepper. Basic and easy. Tastes better if the tomatoes are from your garden (or your neighbors...).
DON'T GO!! I just opened a bill today, July 15, 2013 for an Urgent Care walk in back in May when I had a 4 day low grade fever and couldn't lie down w/out having fits of coughing. I am covered by insurance but the visit was in Houston and that's out of my Aetna network. The bill for a chest ex-ray and peeing in a plastic cup --- not PLATINUM -- was a grand total of $3,72.60!! Talk about "Elite Care"! My insurance company paid them $686 and says I owe the rest. According to this article, the average cost in an Urgent care facility for what I had done should have been $221. I'm stunned.........and thinking about digging up Marvin Zindler to go help me fight it! ;0) If you go in ANY medical facility, get the pricing UP FRONT and in writing! And, good luck w/that.
so many side jobs.... ebay, craigslist, selling crafts....
I sell Avon on the side - it brings in some extra cash without taking up a lot of time outside of my full-time job.

I do have side income (I teach college courses online), however, it still doesn't feel like enough due to my debt right now!

My favorites are hummus with pita bread or guacamole with tortilla chips! Quick and easy snacks.
Yes, I'm beginning my own personal finance blog! It hasn't really made much so far (~$5 a month), but I'm trying to build it up for the long term.

Make a goal to give away or sell one or two things a week. Before you know it you'll be down to the essentials!
Yes--a tiny bit, but I sure like it!
Of course, doesn't everyone?
I don't have a side income right now. Years ago I used to do freelance translation.

I'd done all of this except # 3....It is effective based on my empirical knowledge.

I love the California Wrap! Its so nice to be able to quickly make a meal without the oven... especially in the hot summer months.

I guess I like number one best. I have no problem saying no. Tough love. Its what I grew up on and am thankful for it.
I Registered!
By far and away my Garmin Forerunner 10 watch. I'm a runner and this is one gadget I can no longer imagine living without.
