I took early retirement eleven years ago (bought 5 years of time, cost me $35K+). However, my financial adviser must have been correct because we're still living within our income in the same house, still own two cars and financially help the struggling kid. We also support five cats with large monthly vet bills. So far, we've been living on our retirement and SS and have not had to dip into the investments we've made. So, guess we did something right. By the time we retired, we were both socking away 18% of our gross income in our 457 accounts. When the stock market crashed, we lost over $45K. That hurt but I think we'll still be okay. We didn't seriously start saving until we were in our 30's so . . . start sooner if you can and save as much as you can. Then, you retire and deal with reality.
Change credit unions. Seriously. One of the biggest reasons to be with them is that they typically don't fee you to death, have monthly charges, etc. If you're getting hit everytime you use your debit card, you may as well bank with one of the big ones instead.
I made this and mine was entirely too wet. I think it ended up this way bc the sand was already wet when I started making the mixture. Is there anyway to dry this out or is it just completely ruined?
I am a personal fan of Tilapia and Ahi when I have the chance. Living in Florida, we are blessed with the ability to fish for Snapper and Kingfish which are truly my favorites. Looking forward to the Crispy Coconut Fish recipe.
This is hard because I have several favorite gadgets that I use every day. If there were one particular item I just couldn't part with it'd be my iPod Touch. I'm old school and don't have an iPhone because I prefer my old faithful flip phone with actual buttons but I use my iPod for music and basically as a pocket organizer.
