Papa John’s will give leaplings a free pizza ordered online. Everyone else will be eligible for special promo pricing on this most special of days.

Birthday boys and girls can look forward to a free meal of chicken pot pie, meatloaf, or other options, courtesy of their local participating Boston Market. Yum…

(Note: All FREE birthday promotions will require a valid photo ID and, in some cases, a copy of your birth certificate for redemption.)

Not born on the 29th? You join me and most everyone else in that luck. Turns out, there are still some good promos going on for EVERYONE to enjoy:

Wiki claims that in years’ past, buying a burrito at Chipotle Mexican Grill on Leap Day will get you a coupon for a free one (printed on the bottom of your receipt.)

Rumor has it that McDonalds is doling out 29cent hamburgers in select markets on the 29th. Check for a flyer at your local joint to see if they are participating.

Buy a box of Ronzoni Healthy Harvest Pasta on February 29, and get a rebate for your full purchase price! (Be sure to mail it in by March 15th!) Form can be found on their website.

If you know of any other reports of free grub, we’d like to hear about it! Let us know in the comments, or check out our forums! Happy Birthday, Leaplings!

McDonald's is doing free McSkillet burritos with purchase of a medium or large drink during breakfast hours on Lead Day this year. I think they may be doing it the 29th, too.

I just checked my email, and see that they sent me the details!  Yummy... 610 calories kind of yummy!

Found this on the wiki chipotle page:
February 29. Occurs only on leap years. Buy a burrito on this day, and at the bottom of your receipt was a certificate for a free burrito. Not valid in 2008.

Bummer.

Not valid is 2008?  What gives?

O.k., so it's not a free meal, but it's a really funny website for momma's of leap day babies and leapers themselves. Thought I would share, b/c it cracks me up!

"Leapers" get a free sandwich or salad at Einstein's or Noah's Bagels today...already had mine today in Atlanta. There was a press release sent out by their home office.

Go to any whole foods on your Leap Year BD and get a free cake + $10 Gift Certificate. Signs seen in stores around Atlanta.

One sounds good.  We don't have an Einstein's or Noah's where I live.  (Course, I'm not a Leapling, anyway...)

Thanks for the tips!

People are so naive. If you remove the pre-existing conditions limitations, insure people up to 26 on their parents policies and remove the limits to what an insurance company has to pay, insurance companies won't even know how to price their products. How do you price "unlimited"? I am an office manager in a financial services company and our agent tells us the insurance industry is estimating 200% increases in premiums. What happens then? Well, obviously companies can't afford that so they cancel their plans and the insurance companies go out of business. And, individuals won't be able to afford it either so they will go without healthcare. THEN, the government will step in with its single payer system and "save" us all. We'll be rescued with a system like Canada's. Are you aware that Canada's prime minister received care in the US recently because he was having to wait so long in Canada? Come on people -- WAKE UP!
