About: I'm a 33 year old mother of two little boys, living in a small town in the US. I've been happily married to my best buddy for almost nine years. We started our own insurance agency in 2003 and have been self employed ever since. There have been plenty of financial bumps in the road. Starting a business when you have no savings at all is probably not recommended, and we ended up with nearly $40k in debt by 2004. But we chipped away at it as fast as we could, and were free of debt (other than our mortgage) by 2007. Since then we sold the house we thought we'd stay in forever, bought a new house (much better - tons of room for gardening!), and added our two little boys to our family. When I'm not finding ways to stretch every dollar, I love gardening, clearing out clutter, hanging out with my boys, cooking, and exercising. My favorite things to talk about: my husband and kids, fitness, nutrition, minimalism and clutter-reduction, eco-friendly living, and simplicity. I've been blogging for more than five years as Frugal Babe, and it's been a great journey. My blog has humbled me, taught me to express myself better, and introduced me to tons of awesome readers and bloggers. Thanks for following along!
