Using Biblical principles as a road map, our desire is to help you become a better steward of the resources that God has entrusted to you. As believers we often try to manage God’s resources from a non-Biblical world view, and then we wonder why we aren’t being blessed. We believe that with the proper knowledge, encouragement and desire, anyone can experience true financial freedom. My name is Greg, and my wife and I are debt free except for our house. We have learned a lot through the mistakes that we have made, and our goal is to pass on some of the wisdom that we have gathered so that you won’t have to make the same mistakes we did. I am sure you have heard the saying “You learn from your mistakes”. I agree with this statement, but I think you can also learn from the mistakes of other people. Hopefully, you will learn from our mistakes as you work your way to becoming financially free. One of the things we have learned is the world teaches that debt is not bad and living without payments is not only impossible but it is impractical. The truth is, a large percentage of families in the United States live paycheck to paycheck and a single major emergency would completely wipe out their savings. While the world encourages you to take on debt, God’s Word teaches that the borrower is slave to the lender. As a Dave Ramsey counselor, most of my advice and comments will come from his teachings. Some will think that most of what I have to say is too simplistic, but as Dave likes to say “it’s common sense”. Personal finance doesn’t need to be difficult or confusing. It actually very simple. You make a certain amount of money, you spend a certain amount of money and if you have anything left over you are doing better than a lot of others.
